This why I will never vote for Newt in a primary.

Newt is a decent guy, but any man who has 2 ex wives shows he is lacking in commitment and responsbility, therefore I would never vote for him.

The President knew exactly what he was doing, he wanted to get rid of that pesky Republican congress so he could get his Illegal Amnesty bill passed.

He was almost giddy at the prospect of giving the Dems everything they want, especially the Amnesty bill.

I wonder why they won. Why were Americans so stupid not to vote for us?

Newt would not get my vote either!

George W. Bush is STILL our President. We are still at WAR. We don't need to start eating ourselves. Newt never learns from his mistakes. He can hide ego to be President for only so long and then the vicious side of him comes out.

If I hear him one more time on Hannity, I'm going to start to start listening to Jerry Garcia and the Greatful Dead.

What did he say that was incorrect? I have been (and still am) a huge supporter of the President, but his performance on the Rumsfeld issue and the Wednesday presser was atrocious, IMO.

I for one agree with Newt on this one. Bush may not have lied about WMD's but he sure as hell lied about keeping Rumsfeld until the end of his term. Apparently Rumsfeld was on the outs when Bush stood before the American people and said that Rumsfeld was going to remain as SOD until the end of his term.

Now Bush appears to be the liar that the dems always said he was. Way to go W.

That's why Gingrich will get my vote in the primary.

It was Newt Gingrich, NOT Georege Bush and the RINOs, who designed the agenda which took control of COngress form the Dems in 1994.

"This why I will never vote for Newt in a primary."

Because he speaks the truth or because you drink Kool-aid? The first think I said when I heard Rumsfeld resigned was "why didn't they do this 8 weeks ago?" Timing could not have been worse. Bush's inability to communicate effectively is a major hindrance to the war effort. Now the war will be lost because the democrats are in power in congress and they will force us to pull out.

I don't agree with Newt about Rumsfeld. But I have heard him speaking on talk radio about the election and he is worth listening to. He says--rightly--that we should not be blinded by the fact that conservatives won Dem seats. That's important. But to remember when a voter says the alternative is better than the incumbent, he is voting against that incumbent. He also said that with so many new Blue Dogs in the House, the Republican should immediately form good relationships with them and develop conservative legislation that can pass. I think Pelosi has a real job on her hands. And I want to see that we make her work very hard at it. Newt was in the minority House when Pres. Reagan was in the WH. He knows what he is talking about.

I agree with Newt. He is no Reagan but he is as close as we have now. I would vote for him.

I love Newt's honesty regarding GWB. Since Bush is now a lame duck, he needs to get used to this sort of thing.

The only one to blame is the republican that did't vote and nothing else.

Speaking as a former constituent of his, I believe part of the problem with the GOP started with Newt Gingrich.

For speaking the truth? Lie to me baby, lie to me, and I'll vote for you.

Newt's not my choice, either - we need a governor, not a beltway type. But his diagnosis is spot-on here.
