BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A purported audio recording by the leader of Iraq's al Qaeda wing gloated over the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld as a top U.S. general said the military was preparing to recommend strategy changes. Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, also known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri, said in the recording posted on the Internet on Friday that the group has 12,000 armed fighters and 10,000 others waiting to be equipped to fight U.S. troops in Iraq.

"I tell the lame duck (U.S. administration) do not rush to escape as did your defense minister ... stay on the battleground," he said.

Do you really think this wasn't in the works before the election? They want to destroy us and they have had years to develop a strategy in Iraq.

Yep, and we all saw this coming. The Islamofascists think that they have had their Tet/Madrid moment and certainly are going to pour it on us now.

"... stay on the battleground,"

The muzzies know they cannot win a direct confrontation with the US Military and will never try.

The 'battleground' is behind the skirts of women and children, where the real fighters of islam live.

Elections May Shift U.S. Iraq War Policy

By ANNE GEARAN
AP Diplomatic Writer

Troops in Iraq React to Rumsfeld Shakeup
U.S. Video

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democratic control of Congress, public dislike for the Iraq war and the departure of Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld could open the door for a policy shift

"....Democrats say the first step to repairing the situation in Iraq is putting substantial pressure on its government to take more responsibility. The best way to do this, they say, is by pulling out some troops right away to signal the U.S. commitment is finite....

.........Democrats also have called on Bush to convene an international conference on Iraq and say the military mission should begin to switch from a leading role to a supportive one....

.....Democrats who take control of Congress in January say they will try using their clout to force a change in Iraq policy and demand that Bush start bringing troops home...."

The strategy works. Like suicide bombing, they're using the weapons they have and they're effectively standing up the world's "superpower".

We have planes, they have IED's....what's been more effective?

Democrats = Al Qaeda
Al Qaeda = Democrats

To borrow a phrase, no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.

... or something along those lines.

One thing that Rumsfeld can take credit for over the years, is that he was pretty successful in creating a high turnover rate, for the AlQueda spokesmen. And the leaders on the ground themselves, get killed so fast that their line of succession is always maintained to about the hundredth guy in line.

""I tell the lame duck (U.S. administration) do not rush to escape as did your defense minister ... stay on the battleground," he said."

Oh my,... the "mighty" Islamic Mujahedeen cowards, who hide behind women and children and holes in the ground have the nerve to tell real soldiers to stay on the battlefield?

That's where we have always been, but Al quaeda cowards have been too afraid to come and play thus far. They hide behind womens burka's, hide behind these women's babies which they use as a shield.

I don't think we need to listen to any comments issued by mujahedeen cowards, other than to take note how easily they are "obtained" by media, which should make governments fighting in this war against Islamic mujahedeen cowards hiding behind women and children look a little closer at MSM and their aiding of Terrorism worldwide.

What you say is at least partially true. However, calling them cowards and daring them to confront us directly is a waste of time.

It has been since the 15th century since they fielded any type of standing army.

It is their mode of fighting to use civilians as shields and doped up suicide bombers...and remember: they don't have the word "suicide" in their language.

Our problem is that we don't understand that culture and we don't know an effective way to fight against it.

Further, we expect all our "wars" to be over in less time than it takes to finish off a MacDonald's Happy Meal.

They fight battles lasting generations.

We have a lot to learn; the current administration tried to tell us that, but a majority of the voters didn't want to hear it.

What will happen next over there is not going to be pretty at all.

All I can say is I hope the media, the rats and the ill-informed voters are happy. When we get hit again, we'll know who to blame. And I put the media at the top of the list.

Cutting and running is NOT the will of the people. My clients and friends ["average people"] that I've talked with did want change in Iraq, but not to tuck tail and come home. I think average people will soon seriously regret this election when they see the Dems and their "mandate".

Most everyone in our communuity [except the illegals] has some connection to someone in Iraq and not just because this is Beaufort County, SC. Most people South of the Broad River where I live come from elsewhere: Ohio, New York, Michigan, & etc. Most will readily admit that showing weakness is not the answer. I really think that many people wanted a STRONGER sense of action in Iraq.

Fallujah, even, rather than a pullout.

I can't watch them either. There is no such thing as a "comedian" in this country anymore. No matter who you watch in hopes of getting a glimpse of comedy entertainment, you see them all telling the same tired Bush/America bashing script.

Memo to Leno: Get some new material, or retire. Any capital you may have earned towards the title of "comedian" has been spent. Your account is now overdrawn. You are now just another leftist moron (with an odd shaped head like John Kerry) clueless of what is really going on in the real world outside of your hollywierdo world.

You don't make me laugh anymore.

This tells us all we need to know (not like we didn't know it before)

Al Queda and Liberals share the same goals. And those goals are not in the best interests of America.

Many Americans, as they had done with Communism back in the 30's and 40's, simply do not recognize it yet. It will come as a shock to them when they do.

Where is Joseph McCarthy when you need him?

I completely stopped watching television and reading papers years ago.

As a result, I am pretty well informed and have a good idea what is going on politically at home and around the world, but have no idea who the blonde, female homicide victim du jour is. I also don't know what Oprah thinks about anything, past what I knew years ago.

I don't think I am missing anything.
