Last time I checked, Screamin' Howie didn't occupy a government office, so I think he has pronoun trouble. "We" won't impeach Bush? Sheesh.

Why should they? He's fast becoming one of their biggest allies.

"We" won't impeach Bush? It's him and the voices in his head.

The way all of these moonbats throw around the word impeachment makes it clear that they understand neither the word's meaning or its actual process. The House can impeach (or formally accuse) Bush (of high crimes and misdemeanors) with a simple majority vote, but it takes 67 Senators to agree to remove him from office, which ain't gonna happen. Therefore, if Pelosi and Conyers even managed to "impeach" Bush, it would ultimately be a useless gesture that would only paralyze the government and rip the country further apart.

Boy, Jon Stewart and Howard Dean, two of the most obnoxious people in the Democratic Party, both appearing together? I'm so glad I didn't watch that.

I went over to DU yesterday and even the DUmmies say impeachment would backfire. Plus Dean, Pelosi etc know they don't have a freakin case for impeachment anyway.

"Therefore, if Pelosi and Conyers even managed to "impeach" Bush, it would ultimately be a useless gesture that would only paralyze the government and rip the country further apart." Which is exactly what they will after they run investigations for a year or so and have the MSM pound the drums of Impeachment.

Stewart apologized to Dean, and admitted he was wrong, for telling him on a previous appearance that the Democrats could not possibly win unless they staked out a clear policy on Iraq and other issues.
Did nobody else catch this little jab? I'm curious what Dean's response was like.

Trust me....THEY WILL INDEED TRY TO IMPEACH THE PRESIDENT.
To: seanmerc
Why would they even consider impeaching Bush. He can continue to help them for another two years.

Why should they? He's fast becoming one of their biggest allies. You're right. He pre-emptively caved on raising the minimum wage. If he vetoes even one piece of domestic legislation this term I'll be shocked.

I wish they would try! It could only serve to dig their grave deeper for 08And they know it. They'll have their investigations but won't cross the final line. We underestimate these people at our peril, as we've learned.

I actually knew Sue Kelly was in trouble after Hall's appearance on Colbert. Kelly was scared to appear on Colbert and Hall came off as smart and charming and good-natured, which was plenty in this anti-Bush environment in New York. FReepers in Kelly's district dismissed me, but I was right and they were wrong. The appearances on Colbert helped Hall out tremendously. He wouldn't have won without them.

Bush is a weakened lame duck. When you've soundly beaten someone, you can move on.
