I did what I could to support you.
Unfortunately more people saw it the other way.

It was deliberate on the part of the media but it was ignorance in the part of a lot of voters. I sent a copy of the democrat agenda to someone today and watched the color drain from his face as he read the e-mail. He had no idea! That's because the media didn't tell the public what the dems stand for, they just bashed the president and Rumsfeld.

I don't even know what to say. From those of us that support our troops, honor their sacrifices and their mission, we owe Aaron and everyone in our military a debt of gratitude. We also owe them an apology, on behalf of those who are too foolish, insecure, or psychologically unsound to support the people who give so much to keep us all free.
The misinformed public, and the idiots in the liberal camp, will reap what they sow.

The composition of the Congress has changed, but the World hasn't changed. The fight goes on.

you are correct. Ignorance is no excuse.

I didn't think it was possible to become any more furious than I was before I read this thread.

See, I'm unhappy with losing, but it happens. I'll live.
The fact that what happens as a result of this election is probably going to screw that guy and the others over there, and the only question is how bad the screwing is going to be...that makes me furious. (That's the clean version.)

Conservatives were taught the lesson, now who was it that led the gang of 14 against conservative judges, birthed $SORO$ campaign finance reform, ran a campaign for YEARS to have Rummy's head served up??
I want to know if that anti-torture legislation specifically covers Conservatives???

Just damn. Reading this was like picking a scab. To Aaron: Thank you and all of those like you. My heart is sick because of this and because of its impact on all of you brave men and women that fight for all of us - even those of us too foolish to understand the score. You have my prayers. God bless you and our misguided nation.

We are so sorry for what happened, Aaron. I voted Republican, everyone I know voted Republican, I tried to convince as many people as I could to vote Republican. I can only share the spirit of your feelings, not their depth. You will always be heroes here at FR, and you will always have our respect and support.

Good advice for politics fights.
First order of business. WE need some junk yard dog Congressional leadership come January. Have to eyeball them but the Old boys got to go. Fair or not, they dropped the ball when we need a touchdown.
I lean to Pence. He got Tancredo to support him and he fought his own leadership to get the $40 billion deficit reduction bill thru in Dec 2005. But we shall see.
The House GOP got nothing to lose and the last 2 years of the Democrat obstucvtionism as a lesson in how to do it.

I wish to God this letter could be read to the POS Liberals in Congress and to those in the GOP who have no gonads.

I'm not sure this is for real because the last Bulgarian soldiers left in 2005..
December 31, 2005. The last 147 Bulgarian soldiers arrived in Sofia on Friday after the Balkan country decided to withdraw its 360-strong light infantry battalion from Iraq earlier this year.[Reuters]

This stinks just as bad as the conversation that I had with my son this morning from Iraq. We all new this was probably coming but it was still a punch in the gut.
On the home from this mom has been becoming very angry with a lot of America. They voted to send my family off to war and then flip flopped when the going got tough. My own dad this morning slipped and asked if our youngest was still in Viet Nam! He may be getting old but that slip of the tongue was most likely related to watching CBS every evening.
God Bless our troops because America has just spit on them because they are more interested in I-Pods or whatever pretty trinket they just have to have.

I feel this soldier's pain, believe me. However, I would like him to see the following post from someone on a Virginia thread, as those of us who supported (and still do) George Allen, fought to keep him in the Senate:

There you have it. You got "fragged", young man. You did not get abandoned by your supporters, you got abandoned by your fellow service members.

We lost a battle Tuesday. We did NOT lose the war. WE will NOT fail them as they did NOT fail us in our time of need.
Not this time. Not again. Not on our watch.
