GREAT FALLS, Montana (AP) -- Montana's Libertarian candidate for Senate has turned blue from drinking a silver solution that he believed would protect him from disease.
Stan Jones,a 63-year-old business consultant and part-time college instructor, said he started taking colloidal silver in 1999 for fear that Y2K disruptions might lead to a shortage of antibiotics.
He made his own concoction by electrically charging a couple of silver wires in a glass of water.
His skin began turning blue-gray a year ago...
...He does not take the supplement any longer, but the skin condition, called argyria, is permanent....

Oh MY GOD . This dingbat got 10,000 votes in Montana? I am starting to think we are doomed. Well, if you think about it, it really wasn't any different than when Republicans vote straight ticket. The GOP has had a few embarrassing goofballs of their own actually get plenty of votes that way before.

I for one would welcome the day when the Libertarians are our main opposition party.Thread over. You win!

I'm shaking my head at his being blue...not at his politics.
He's BLUE.

Stan Jones is more conservative than that corrupt dirtbag, foot-in-mouth old-fart RINO Burns who deservedly got put out to pasture.

I for one would welcome the day when the Libertarians are our main opposition party.Same here, but with them alternating as the majority party.

I'm shaking my head at his being blue...not at his politics. How old is this story? It's been known since 2002 that the guy turned blue. So why repost it? Everybody and their momma has heard of Stan Jones being a smurf, right?
Because the GOP diehards need a scapegoat because their POS RINOs crashed and burned on Tuesday.

I am sorry. I am hearing a lot of high minded talk from Libertarians on the web about this. If this is the best guy they can put up to represent a serious philosphy need what can I say.

"Montana's Libertarian candidate for Senate has turned blue from drinking a silver solution that he believed would protect him from disease." And 10,000 people voted for that idiot. Amazing.

Heck, in my district the Republicans didn't even bother to run a candidate for the House. I voted Libertarian by default.

I think Libertarians actually take more votes from Democrats than Republicans - they are leftists.
