PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Two days after losing a bid for a second term, Sen. Lincoln Chafee said he was unsure whether he would remain a Republican. Chafee lost to Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse in a race seen as a referendum on President Bush and the GOP. On Thursday, he was asked whether he would stick with the Republican Party or become an independent or Democrat. ``I haven't made any decisions. I just haven't even thought about where my place is,'' Chafee said at a news conference. When pressed on whether his comments indicated he might leave the GOP, he replied: ``That's fair.'' Chafee, 53, is a lifelong Republican who has represented Rhode Island for seven years. His father held the same seat for 23 years before that. He is the most liberal Republican in the Senate and was the sole Senate Republican to vote against the war in Iraq.

Just the fact he made a statement about this is completely hysterical. What a putz>
Seeeeee Ya!!!
Hey Chafee, I'm sure Pelosi would welcome you in and give you a nice committee assignment. Ha ha ha YeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaa.
>>If we had to lose....I'm glad this POS was one that got flushed<<
So am I !
I'll be succint. Who gives a flying #phuck what he thinks.
He's a loser of the worst order, yet he'll have his pension and live out his days in comfort.
"I'm coming out of the closet, politically speaking.
I was born a Democrat and I've struggled with Democrat feelings all my life.
I was too afraid to tell anyone my special secret while those Republicans were in power, because they might have made me sit with the losers.
I deserve to be with the winning side."
LOL Yes, perhaps there is a lovely shin-dig going on at Chapaquitic this week.
Chaffee was never a republican
Chafee is a wannabe political tranny.
I say accommodate him - chop off whatever manhood he has left - he'll make a pretty Democrat.
He won't quit the party. If he does, he cannot hold up the Bolton nomination in committee.
The only thing left to ask is what's it costing the democrats?

Hopefully he just fades inot obscurity ... .. .. . .
I'm sure he meant quit after this session.
As if!
The poofter!
Don't let the door slap him on his backside on the way out. GOOD RIDDANCE!
More to come, hopefully?
If he had won, what are the odds he would have pulled a "Jumpin ' Jim" move? Damn good I suspect!
So long, Linc--Write if you find work.
