Charlie Rangel: "Who the hell wants to live in Mississippi?" (..Said the Man From Harlem!!)
http://michellemalkin.com/archives/006337.htm ^

Posted on 11/09/2006 12:43:12 PM PST by WBL 1952

Charlie Rangel opens his mouth...and mocks the South: (hat tip: reader CRB)

“It’s not just committees — our influence within the House Democratic caucus will grow enormously,” Mr. Rangel said in an interview.

To that end, he sketched out an expansive federal agenda: Teaming up with Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg on gun control, passing new tax incentives for urban job programs, and redirecting federal money to New York in return for the outsize tax collections that the federal government makes here.

“Mississippi gets more than their fair share back in federal money, but who the hell wants to live in Mississippi?” Mr. Rangel said.

If I said what I really want to do with Rangel and his ilk, I'd probably end up in prison. 'nuff said!

I think he is being prejudiced....

He should be held accountable for everything that comes out of that fat mouth from now on.

Whoever is the Minority leader in the House needs to do like Pelosi did...and have a televised presser EVERY day...and call out any and all dems for their stupid remarks...and stupid bills.

I also look forward to the "conservative Democrats" who just took Congress to surrender their guns to Charlie Rangel and Nancy Pelosi...

"President Bush better hold the line on gun rights. He appears ready to sell the country down the river on immigration, so Bush can at least support the second amendment, right?"

Without having voted for Bush the dems can be proud of him since he is the best president the dems ever sent to the White House.

You know, I would have argued that with you prior to Wednesday morning. But after losing John Sweeney in the House, in what was traditionally a conservative district, I have to give you the point. And it breaks my heart, I love my home. But it sure is changing.

This from the race pimp representing Harlem?

The demented bastard probably never spent any time in the real Mississippi.....

The difference was demonstrated in the aftermath of Katrina...
The Harlem style, society leach blacks of New Orleans collapsed, relapsed and demonstrated total dependence on others. They easily and quickly turned to criminality.

The Mississippi and Alabama blacks stood tall, and with their partners - both black and white - took one another's hand and started rebuilding....

Screw Rangle and his racist poverty pimp attitude.

Note to folks in Mississippi: Rangel's from NYC, BTW. Not Upstate NYS.

From my point of view, "Upstate" starts at 105th street in Manhattan.

More like cut us open and eat our hearts.

Speaking of eating hearts out, I feel the same way about the average American voter as Magua felt about the Hurons in the "Last of the Mohegans."

On the other hand, we don't have baggage like Chaffee and DeWine and Tommy Kean Junior to worry about and only need concern ourselves with John McCain stabbing us in the back, and trying to pressure the so-called "Blue Dog" Democrats through their constituents.

If people like Webb and that feller from Montana want to get re-electerd, they better be careful what they do.

After that remark I doubt if he could get a passport to get in our state.

You're better off without him. Now, if can somehow get him to insult the rest of the states.

Now, why in the world would Rangel say such a thing? This is a very divisive statement.

Hey, their visitor centers and rest stops are THE NICEST LOOKING and attractive in the country! They have these column buildings with nice restrooms and their borders between them and Alabama have these visitor rest areas complete with free soda (little 6 oz cups they give you as you sign their visitor book) and Mississippi is friendly, not SNOBS. And I'm from Arizona saying this!

Rangel is announcing that he has Pelosi over a barrel. She got Speaker because of deals she cut with the House Black Caucus. This is what Rangel is saying here.

Also, the best-known Blue Dog Democrat, already in Congress, is from Mississippi. This indicates that Rangel is looking to exclude him and all the new Blue Dogs from any position of influence in Dim councils.

Damn, Pelosi couldn't hold 'em for even two days.
