Lieberman would not vote to change the rules for example (next year). a few other Dems too, not many, but they need them all to hold a vote for a rules change. they won't get them.
But if we do it first, they will.

Dirt on the dems always finds it's way to the republicans somehow.

Such suggestions will only get us called "elitists".

I don't live in a world of fantasy.Well now that you've gone personal....
You are the one who lives in a fantasy where your "betters" know better than the common man. It's a top down distorted view of the world that tells others to "just shut up and take it".
You know, the type responsible for throwing away our majority.
Don't bother replying I'm done with you.

Your Grandpa sounds like 1/2 of the American public-- nice people and all, but..... Do you mean the less than half of eligible voters who voted, or the more than half who did not vote at all ... either way?

Methinks Bush made a deal with Lieberman
Bolton for Rumsfeld I'm no smoky backroom politician but that sounds plain silly to me.
Bolton doesn't have much chance though, IMO.

Why the hurry? Bush is throwing him to the wolves as part of a series of moves designed to placate the Democrats. I wouldn't be surprised at this point if he withdrew from Iraq and proposed a universal health care plan. Expect the worst.

Sure it will. Even though it wouldn't be true at all. The whole thing really makes me angry. We live in a country that provides FREE education to anyone and everyone - there is NO REASON for the ignorance and apathy that exists. So, go ahead, anyone that wishes to can call me an elitist. I can take it since I know it isn't true. :)
It boils down to this: The real "elitists" would be the ones labeling us as such...while they lie through their collective teeth about working for the "little guy" they laugh their a$$es off at the "stupid little guy" behind closed doors. It is in their best interests to keep "the people" stupid and dependent. Why so many folks can't see through that act is beyond my comprehension.

It's because of who controls that "free" education that so many people can't see through the act.

1/2 of America does not vote with Pelosi, et al.
Barely 1/2 of Americans who are eligible to vote are not even registered. Half of those who are registered do not vote.
Approx. 1/8 of Americans aligned with one major party or the other. That was my point.
