Dear Susan Estrich,
"Since when is it OK for a president to lie to reporters?" Because Donald Rumsfeld resigned means the President lied? How did you come to this conclusion? Did it ever occur to you that he gave the President no option but to except his resignation? In my opinion unlike yours, is that he probably resigned as to deflect the lefts hatred of himself from effecting the Office of the President. The Democrats may have one both Houses but I see it as the Military, Afghani's and Iraqi's are the who will lose in the long run. PS. don't be such a hater.

With all due respect, do you seriously believe that Rummy really resigned on his own? What happens is that the president has someone inform him that he will accept his resignation, and the person resigns rather than being fired. That's how the game is played. This was just a bit more transparent than normal.
