IUPUI is not Purdue University - it's a third-rate extension campus.

It's not a third rate extension campus. It's the third largest college campus in Indiana. It's a combination of both universities and offers all the degrees that the two universities offer. There are 30,000 students there. My son is going for Bio-Medical Engineering there. We are very impressed with the faculty and the campus.

You're right about it not being Purdue University, but third rate? Uh, I'm not so sure about that.
The medical school and facility is far and away the best in the state and among the best in the midwest. There's just no questioning that--don't forget, that's where Lance Armstrong was (successfully) treated for cancer.
Additionally, this whole stink about backdated stock options--where Apple and Microsoft and scores of other companies are restating earnings--began because of a journal article co-authored by--you guessed it--an IUPUI Kelley School professor; and these are just a couple of examples!.
IUPUI has the perception of being a second rate school in Indiana because it is a commuter campus, but the perception is wrong. It's a fine school with a talented faculty.
