Let me see if I get this last propaganda spin lie fed to the Junk Media by the Democrats right. After the worst sort of slime bag gutter politics and demagoguery for the last 6 years suddenly we are all suppose to play nice since the Dems finally managed to lie their way back into power?
I do not think so.
They think they run things but believe or not, President Bush has a veto pen and we still have more then 40 Conservative Senators to filibuster with.
They need to get along with us. WE can stop anything they want. Let us see if Democrats are stupid enough to forget that fact
We lost a battle, the war goes on.
EVERY day, Bush has been screwing us on the border.
It doesn't seem like you're getting the message.
The truth be told, we ALL (or at least the majority of us conservatives) carried water for Bush and our congressiojal leaders because we didn't want to lose control. We lost anyway. Lesson learned. No more watering down of conservatism by Republicans...no more holding of noses....PUSH for conservative LEADERS that can effectively articulate and seek to impliment a conservative philosophy in all the issues confronting our great nation. If these elections teach us anything it's that conservatism wins, and compromise with moderates or liberals is a sure fire path to defeat.
I missed the big hint - what was it?
I don't like Savage, but post election review was pretty much dead on right. Specifically, on almost every issue, except minimum wage, the conservative voice was heard on referendums on such issues as gay marraige, abortion, etc. The Dims won because they did not really offer any reral plans and the republicans offered us nothing useful or truly conservative. Republicans waffled on making taxes permanent, the illegal alien issue, creating a whole new entitlement headache with prescription drugs,...just about every critical conservative issue we either didn't go far enough, or they just flat abandoned the principles that brought republicans to power to begin with.
I don't know. He dropped it just before signing off. He said something about "Uh oh, she's backtracking", and how it won't sit well with her base--something like that, and then the show was over.
Tantalizing, but no specifics.
I'll send our knockout gorgeous single-mom neighbor in your direction. When the husbands in the neighborhood mow the lawns on Saturday, she'll be out in that bikini soon enough. (Or are the husbands out soon enough to catch miss bikini? Hmmm)
The hairs went up on their backs and on mine too. Dogs know freaky unnatural when they see (hear) it.
Bet that's why muslims do not like dogs(?)
Thanks for posting from Job.
That's priceless! May I use that?
"Because of Bush's stupid laws." Now you tell me DCPatriot, they think that Bush is the one trying to keep them out of America. They were protesting against Bush. Bush is there to enforce the laws yes but he did not create them. But it does not matter to him. He is trying to circumvent those laws and hence my post at the beginning. Do you think that the illegals know that Bush is trying to help them? NO. They believe that this is their country anyway no matter what. And what do you think they watch for their entertainment? They watch Gigante Sabado, a Hispanic show that has little women prancing around in their bikinis. They do not care. When it comes time to election, they turn on the spanish news, they hear all the Bush bashing, and can you guess how they will vote? The problem we have is that they should not be here, and they should not be allowed to vote, that way they cannot have a voice in a country that they have no business being in.
"Try to be a "big picture guy". They're here and they aren't leaving."
They are here illegally. Taking american jobs. If amnesty passes, you may gain the votes of illegals but forever loose the votes of conservatives in BOTH parties.
"Libertarians should have made their move"
You combine the libertarians with a portion of GOP conservatives and a portion of Reagan democrats and you have a new srong party in the making.
I am not saying we should moderate on amnesty, not at all.
what we have to ask ourselves is, why were Dem canidates who opposed amnesty, getting more votes then Republican candidates who also held the same position?
I think I know what the answer is - and its that the republican base felt that the #1 republican - the president - was willing to flip them out on this issue. But it was a dumb move to take revenge on the only body stopping amnesty - the republican House. and we know full well that these "conservative" Dems elected as being opposed to amnesty, won't vote that way.
Enjoy your new home.
"What reason does BUSH have to be fed up with his own party?"
20% republican turnout? I take that as a slap in the face.
This was not a "win". It was a concession.
Republicans stayed home in defiance. So much for party loyalty.
I'm sorry but in good conscience I cannot converse with freeper that end their sentences with prepositions. ;^)
BTW, there must be a Div. of Homeland Security phone number you can call with regard to the check cashing and cash wiring you observed. Please give them a call so they can monitor that particular operation.
Now, the big question..... is he willing to run?
"Conservative"? Name them, Rush.
considering the fact that Santorum was ousted with a "conservative" posing democrat, Specter should be nervious.
Apparently a DINO trumps a RINO.
