Let me see if I get this last propaganda spin lie fed to the Junk Media by the Democrats right. After the worst sort of slime bag gutter politics and demagoguery for the last 6 years suddenly we are all suppose to play nice since the Dems finally managed to lie their way back into power?
I do not think so.
They think they run things but believe or not, President Bush has a veto pen and we still have more then 40 Conservative Senators to filibuster with.
They need to get along with us. WE can stop anything they want. Let us see if Democrats are stupid enough to forget that fact
We lost a battle, the war goes on.

Agree...
let's hope, it was a Pyrrhic victory.
...and remind the American people, why they (and the GOP) were "BOOTED OUT" this election. WE WANT SMALLER GOVERNMENT!:|

It is time people realize that just because someone calls himself a "Conservative" does not mean he is.
Savage will turn out to be the most successful political mole in History. He spends most of his time shooting our guys in the back while throwing in just enough anger at the Dems to fool people. He is doing enormous damage to the Conservative Movement by keeping the Conservatives busy shooting each other rather then the Demos.

Great comments! See Laura Ingram's thread for some interesting comments posted by my hubby, ct_libertarian, concerning what he thinks the dims, and our reaction, should do. Some of them are pretty hard core.

Wow, that "Bush to make statement" thread was one giant Bush-bashing session! LOL!

I figured that there would be lots of fighting between Freepers yesterday, so I laid low with the exception of defending Rush on the Freerepublic Rush trashing thread, Weiner (Savage) Nation.

I agree. Savage does nothing to win over converts to Conservatism and does much to promite division within the movement and to drive away swing voters.

From the
SecDef himself:
ALR: Political Jujitsu? I'm sorry Mr. Secretary but I don't follow you.
Rummy: Nobody saw this move coming yesterday. Nobody was prepared. It was a brilliant shifting of weight. Yesterday was supposed to be the Democrats big day. They were all going to wear new suits and dresses and give speeches congratulating themselves and talking about how they were going to fix the country. Instead all the news programs spent that time speaking about my resignation and today all the print media will be talking about me and my successor. The Democrats can't even complain because they have been practically begging for my resignation. By the time this dies down - nobody will want to look at their new suits or pretty dresses and they sure won't want to hear their flowery speeches because the time would have been well past that. The bonus is that the Main Stream Media doesn't even see how they were used. Brilliant move by the President.
Shame on me for almost losing faith there. God Bless Donald Rumsfeld and God Bless GWB.

Nobody had to tell me that he had been a water carrier for a long time..... Spending all our time ranting about water carriers and shooting our own side in the back is really going to help us in 2008.
Frankly you may as well skip the Rush show. We are here to fight the Dems not eat our own.

I just e-mailed Rush about this
CNN 'moment of truth' from last night - admitting that terrorists would increasing violence and their
propaganda efforts, only to then remove such admissions from the printed transcript.

"40 Conservative Senators"
Time will tell.
Christmas, charitable giving,
let's watch these as our taxes burdons increase.
Pelosi isn't going to decrease tax rates, unless it's 'paid for'.
InComing; Retro-Active Tax Increase.
I support fiscally conservative Democrates, though I didn't vote for any.

I know Rush does not comment on other commentators as a rule, but it would be interesting for him to address Savage. Savage is an interesting character but as others have pointed out, he is not a team player.

Savage is prove a Democrat activist pretending to be a "Conservative" to keep the Conservative busy shooting at each other instead of fighting the Dems on anything.

I must admit that I do not listen to the Savage show - I have never heard him speak in any forum.
I am however impressed with the man's education and resume.
No lack of intelligence to be sure.

Tax cuts increase revenues. Did under Kennedy, Did under Reagan did under Bush. To bad Congress turned around and spend even more.
What we have is NOT a Tax problem, we have a SPENDING problem.

"Savage has been vindicated in his opinions." You mean these position?
- Provides money to a moonbat AG candidate in a border state
- Routinely hosts Chuck (Chucky Scmuky) Schumer to help damage the GOP
- Routinely calls our fellow American's morons and idiots
- Thinks the multinational corporations conspire with each other
- Thinks the oil companies conspire with each other
- Supports the minimum wage
- Hate Conservative icons like Rush Limbaugh
- Attacks other Conservatives as often or more than Liberals
- Spews hatred and vile towards our Commander in Chief
- Want's Rumsfeld fired
- Claims to be a sort of "Patton" on the War on Terror, but when the Israelis started bombing Lebenon, he turned into Cindy Sheehan
- Routinely asks callers a question, then ignores their answer and continues on manianical rant.
- Called Cheney a liar, and said he didn't believe a word he says, ever.
- Called Bush a liar.
- Said the war in Iraq is purely for profit, get this, so that Haliburton can make money.
- Said there's no difference between the GOP and Dems.
- Called Rick Santorum "Sanitarium", and an idiot.
- Said he deserves most of the credit for the ports deal not going through, and since the GOP didn't give him credit, he won't support them in any way.
- Said it won't be so bad if Dems take over, outside of some minor social changes, nothing else will really change.
- Called this a broken nation with corrupt leadership, making fun of Bush, and his rationale for the war on terror, and war in Iraq.
- Called the GOP "the corrupt, war-mongering GOP"...
- He had a caller who said he was livid with the GOP, but since the Dems are much worse, he pleaded with Savage's listeners to get out and vote... With each sentence, Savage shouted him down.
- He believes that the Clintons and Bush family have developed some sort of consortium and political syndicate together. For the next several years, they will stiff-arm the rest of the political world and alternate family members to the Presidency. Hillary is next, then followed by Jeb.
