Bush to make statement with his cabinet in Rose Garden at 11:35 AM...
Everybody calm the hell down.
The President has to get this government moving if we are going to get anything done. Calling Bush a traitor (or any other stupid insults) is BS. If Bush is anything he is a realist. If the American government cannot start working together soon then the war WILL be lost.
All you REAL Republicans need to leave room on this bus for some RINOs or you are going to make 08 look like 06-squared.
Give the man a chance to right this ship.
Friggen bunch of cry babies out there - good lord...
Ahh - that felt good.
BUMP.
I think you'll find that the people making the comments most did vote straight Republicans last election, just as I did. It doesn't mean we're happy.
I will not lighten up. This time is a very important one for those of us who actually care about the next two years and beyond, to tighten up our helmets and stand behind the President. He has been dealt a hard blow and the liberals are all piling on. We don't need to add to his burdens.
The Democrats are going to overshoot on what they have been given, count on it. The people of this country do not want to cut and run, they do not want higher taxes, they do not want to give citizenship to all illegals, they do not want gay marriage shoved at them. The Dem leadership is going to try to make these things happen.
It will be two years until we can choose a new President, and it is the height of stupidity to think that we are going to help our cause by tearing down Pres. Bush and strengthening the position of the liberals.

I think the opposite of btoken-glass Republicans should be called the "precious palms republicans" and I loathe them all.
I agree that it would seem as though maturity has taken a back seat
Yes he was.
Well, Benedict Arnold was at least at all times a patriot for either USA or Great Britain. He was only a traitor to one group at a time.
Broken glass inactivists would sell out anyone and everyone at anytime (except Alan Keyes) to get their pet issue.
Logic will get you nowhere you know! How dare you use it! ;-)
Great post - I'm keeping those in my vault.
Thanks
I know, he is a good guy. I hate the way he is treated. I really do believe he loves this country. Hard to do these days the way he has been treated by so many. Sometimes even we don't give him enough credit for the great things he has done. Right now, the media and that presser yesterday irritated the hell out of me. I can't watch the news because their disrespect just honks me off too much.
I stand corrected. John Bolton is going to be replaced. More is the pity
Same here...the people who stayed home are not on this board...they're more apolitical.
Actually, this started yesterday right after the PResident announced Rumsfeld's departure. Up until that point, speaking personally but also conveying the mood on conservative talk radio yesterday in the AM, the mood was we lost because the Congress turned its back on conservatism, especially the Senate over the last few years. We were looking forward to cleaning up the mess, getting good folks into the '08 primaries, and fighting back.
Then the Rumsfeld announcment came. Given the mood of the general population re: the Iraq war, we all know it was going to be tough in the elections. So, announcing the resignation the very day after we took such a beating was just plain STUPID! This was in the works for months - so his resignation in the summer may have done something to save Senate control - Allen lost by less than 10,000 votes! Instead, we get this golden gift handed to the Dhims. The President should have just sent a freakin' Hallmark card!
And then, in the same press conference, he comes out with his Jobs Americans Won't Do catch-phrase when talking immigration. One could almost draw the conclusion that he's happy with the new state of affairs, as it means his pet project for his pet constituency will pass just like he wants it to.
If these moves don't deserve ridicule, I don't know what would.
Hey buddy - figured you'd be lurking out there.
We have gotten the clue.
We got it in 1992 when you and your ilk enabled 8 years of the Clintoons.
Now we are being punished again.
When the ACLU starts the war trials against Rummy and others in Congress next year and start trying our warriors in Kangaroo trials, our warriors and their family members can thank you for your cutting running, and enabling Pelosi and her thugs to do what ever they want to our warriors and the rest of us.
Yeah cuz that's what people were voting on...immigration. *rolling my eyes*
