Are Democrats' gains in House good for Israel?

Democratic victories in the House of Representatives will shift control of that chamber next year, but major shifts in US policy on Middle East hot spots are less certain.
Supporters of Israel are expected to lean heavily on the party's incoming House Democratic leadership to vocally counterbalance any negative comments about Israel that might come from some within their caucus. Concerns have been raised in recent weeks about some senior liberal House Democrats, including some likely incoming committee chairmen, who are seen as problematic on support for Israel.
House Democrats are already fighting back, saying their caucus has always been supportive of Israel and the pro-Israel community needs to acknowledge that.
"There has been an outrageous smear campaign against Democrats and Democratic leaders that went largely unanswered in the pro-Israel community," said Matt Dorf, a Democratic strategist who advises the Democratic National Committee on Jewish outreach. "Democrats take the second seat to no one in their support for Israel."

Is the author of this piece insane????
The failure of liberal Democratic American Jewish voters to truly recognize the consequences of their contributions to the catastrophic events of Tuesday with respect to the long term existence of Israel is apparently only eclipsed by the obtuseness of some Israelis themselves on this subject.

No, they now have two years to shore up their defensive posture before the possibility of the rat party gaining power here and selling them over like Chamberlin handed over the Poles to the Nazis. Same party, same ideals.

Isn't it great? Get dumber. But of course, much like Europe they'll look to conservatives to bail them out when the crap hits the fan again, which will probably be pretty soon.

After they surrender to Al Queda they will call on Israel to surrender to Hamas.

I would stand proudly for a slap across the face, if every other American Jew also got such a slap, as a reminder of what happened to us the last time antisemitism became a national pastime.

Tell that to Jimmy Carter. In large part, Mr. Peanut got us into this (modern) mess with crazy muslims in the first place.

Maybe it's time to start worrying about what is good for America first.

Olmert and by extention Israel flunked lunch in Lebanon and sent the wrong message to the Islamofacists. The voters in the US have just compounded the problem. There is a very strong and deep vein of anti-semitism in the DemocRAT left. It is about time that it is fully recognized.

The House will now have the stench of it's first muslim from Minnesota of all places. In two years there will be more from Michigan, but arabs. Soon after that, there will be an arab/muslim caucus for the Democrats to look after. In 6 years, Carl Levin, Sentor from Michigan and Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee will convert to islam so he can continue to be a Senator from Michigan and the chairman. In 10 years, if the Middle East arabs haven't already destroyed Israel, the United States military will be forced to do it for them.

The good news is that Israel and American Jews will soon learn the truth about the Democratic Party and what it thinks of Israel.
