He ran a bad campaign. The awww shucks I'm cowboy boot wearinin tobacco chewing good ol boy collapsed under real pressure.....throw in after the maacaca thing and the Washington Post pile on. It was OK in the 80's but after 9/11 it came off as a frat boy look compared to a decorated Marine like Webb.

He had everything including the kitchen sink thrown at him and he lost by 10000 votes. I think that's a testament to the man.
You really ought to stop urinating all over allen blackirish, there's plenty of allen supporters out there looking for a home and your likely to drive them into somebody elses camp like that.

I think Allen comes across as a buffoon. A sort of caricature of the "Southern" man. We dont need that in 2008.
