Clinton over-reached in a big way. This allowed Repubs to get elected in 94. If Clinton had a Democratic majority for most of his two terms, he would have gotten more. Also, the Dems have been out of power for 10 + years. They will force through their agenda. Clinton wanted to get elected again, in some instances, he backed down. Pres. Bush will not do this.
The 90's were not that good by the way. We stopped some inititives, but we still have liberal judges who wreaking havoc on our judiciary.
On that we agree, at least when it comes to immigration. Only Ted Kennedy it seems is more committed to open borders. We may have to rely on a few democrats like Byrd to stop the amnesty train. He has done it a few times before.
