Huh? President Bush has always been big on getting this pushed through...anyone who voted for him in 2000 or 2004 was voting for a candidate who was very up front about this. To call it "betrayal" is unfair to the man, IMHO.
However, the candidate running against him wanted the same thing. We were screwed no matter how we voted, because even McCain wants an open border.
