He didn't listen to the majority of the people in this country that were opposed to open borders and scamnesty. He put himself and his wants above all else. This became the hot button issue for a LOT of people, because he was pushing it so often. I think the republican would have held congress if he never had mentioned his illegal workers/scamnesty program.
Thhe Democrats are more likely to vote for amnesty-house Republicans were the only thing stopping it. I see no correlation between this issue and the Republican loss-except for depressing the base maybe. All exit polls indicated Iraq was the problem. Also, now we live under Dem rule.
