Now we will have 2 years of soft Dems negotiating with terrorists. You can't negotiate with people who have no regard for their own lives. You simply have to kill them. The Dems don't get that. It will take several years to get back to the place we are now, and that will happen only if we can prevail in 2008.

No kidding! How quickly people forgot President Bush's quick fulfillment of his promise to kill or capture the persons behind the 9-11 attacks. If it hadn't been for that Osama bin Laden and his thugs might have murdered countless thousands more on trains in Spain, subways in Britain, vacationers in Malaysia, schoolchildren in Russia, and on and on. Just the carnage in Africa alone would have been in the tens or hundreds of thousands. They might even have thought to send Al Qaeda fighters to Iraq to kill and maim our troops had the president and congress not acted so swiftly to stop our enemies. And thank goodness they moved promptly to secure our borders, detain Muslims within our own nation and ceased Muslim immigration instead of increasing it. Any lesser group of politicians would have avoided the hard fight and imposed new laws on the entire nation to address the faults of a few.

Most of all, I can't understand how blind the American politians are. Perhaps they just don't care.

Given the two choices, I would say they just don't care.

I have a sibling in the CIA, and let me tell you, they are watching these mosques and the individuals in them. But they need more people doing background research and bringing them to light, so they can spend less time finding extremists (which we can do legally) and spend more time doing something about them.

I'd like to add a comment on that. President Bush requested, and Congress approved changes to the remnants of what was once a volunteer civil defense apparatus to a new secret agency with members by government invitation only. Lost was the opportunity for concerned citizens to play a roll in the war on terrorism on the home-front. After 9-11, millions of citizens awaited word on how they could help. The government could have had millions of pairs of trained eyes and ears watching every corner of our nation for free. Why the government shunned voluntary citizen participation is beyond me. If this war is everything the president described, he should have called on all resources. Instead he told people to go shopping.

I want Islam out of our nation completely.

Something else burns me up the more I think about it. There is no way I would ever invite Muslims to celebrate Ramadan or any other Muslim occasion in my house.

As a childhood I was taught the White House is where the president lives, but it was America's House. I am outraged President Bush has initiated annual Ramadan celebrations in the tiny bit that is my White House, and know damn well I speak for all my ancestors before me.

This is what happens when we forget the 'Law of Moses' and concentrate soley on the 'Love of Christ'.

As I recall, the love of Christ cuts like a sword.

Hasanuddin appeared in Jakarta Central Court yesterday charged with planning and directing the murders in October last year. He faces a death sentence if found guilty under anti-terrorism legislation.

You mean this is still illegal in Indonesia?

It's not going to happen. Focus on something doable.

Not, however, Christianity.

"Focus on something doable."

We could, at a minimum, stop sucking up to them.

He talks glowingly of Islam, but doesn't seem to mention Christianity much. I also don't see the WH celebrating any Jewish holidays, for that matter.

It's one thing to wish someone a happy Bombadan, but another entirely to celebrate it yourself.

Oh, yeah. Just think where we would be if we weren't fighting back. I don't hold our Administration accountable for things that happen in other countries; I hold those countries accountable. Why do you blame us? Do you thin our borders would be more or less secure if the Dems had been in charge lately? And why are we responsible for Africa?? Sorry, you are sounding like a closet lib.

Sorry, you are sounding like a closet lib.

For wanting Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda dead you call ME a closet liberal? Give me a break! You resort to blatant lies to cover failures.

I don't hold our Administration accountable for things that happen in other countries

That's sure apparent as Osama bin Laden's Al Qaeda organization has continued to turn out terrorists from Pakistan to go maim and murder our troops in Iraq.
