Next shoe to fall in Bush WH: John Bolton as US-UN ambassador?... Developing...
Can't do that twice.
Ironically, this "part" is making me madder than losing the House and Senate.
If he did, it would have been Rove who was gone!
Anyone got a pic of W wearing a skirt?
It will get a lot of use in next couple of years to hide the fact that he does NOT have a "pair."
Bush "FIGHTING?" Never going to happen. Its going to worse than before with everyone sitting around singing Kumbaya and we will get more (didn't you see the news conference?) "LET'S ALL GO ALONG TO GITT ALONG."
My advice to you: Start drinking heavily.
(Apologies to Animal House)
Not for the next two months he isn't.
There's nothing constructive to be done as long as the American electorate stabs our warriors in the back.
Last time this happened ended up with Saigon falling, and I wanted to die. I was in the ICU at the time, so it damn near happened.
Send no one over there. Announce that we are beginning the move to fiscal responsibility by ending all payments to the UN.
Why could he not recess appointment him again?
The lesson is the media controls voters and that the only way to proceed is to do what the media wants.
That is what Bush is going to do. That is what the remaining Republicans in the house and senate are going to do.
NOW HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PUNISH REPUBLICANS IN OFFICE.
There is not likely a single member of congress that does not believe that the media controls how people vote. Rule number 1 is please the media.. Rule 2 is see rule number 1.
Are you sure?
Anyhow, if that's true, how about we appoint Rick Santorum to take his place? That'll really make the D's mad.
The 9-11 G.W.B. is gone, all that remains is the new tone.
I miss the first guy, the one in his place I won't miss at all.
President Bush can recess appoint Bolton again but Bolton will not get paid. He cannot collect a salary on the recess appointment
"Bush needs to fight for something."
True. And he's made that crystal-clear.
He's going to fight for "comprehensive" immigration reform with new guest worker programs to equalize wages and lifestyles across the borders.
And he's doing it with a smile on his face.
He is fighting for something -- amnesty for illegals. And, there will be ample opportunities for him to expand government and spend even more money with the Democrats in charge in Congress. Yesterday was actually a good day in many respects for Bush.
I don't think we're out of it, yet. The D's are far from dominant, and there are certainly a few in their number, expecially the fresh ones from "red" districts, who know what would happen to them if they tried to repeat that awful deed.
I hope. ><
Go ahead and scream pre-emptively. You'll feel better.
Which realpolitik neoisolationist arabist from the 41'st admin will it be?
Yea and we know how fast the dems work now dont we...
"If he did, it would have been Rove who was gone!

Oh, the day's not over yet.
