I had assumed that Bush meant what he said last week about Rumsfeld and the Cheney, or at least that it would take longer than a week to change his mind.
Wonder if this was a done deal at the WH before the election, assuming the Dems took one or both houses?
Can Cheney - who has been an even stronger supporter of the current policy in Iraq than Rumsfled - stay on?
Would he be able to accept the change in his role this would involve ("As a loyal supporter of the President, of course I support this re-evaluation 100%)?
Would anyone believe him if he said it?
