Hillary Slams Dick Cheney

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton took direct aim at the vice president Tuesday night, after defeating her Republican challenger.

Clinton, D-N.Y., said the accomplishment by Democrats in New York and across the country provided proof that the American people wanted a change in direction, the New York Times reported.

She directly challenged Vice President Dick Cheney, who said in a recent interview that no matter what happened in the election, the administration would continue to pursue its agenda "full-speed.”

"I think the American people have said, ‘Not so fast,’” Clinton said. "What’s happening across our country today is a good sign that democracy and our constitution are alive and well.”

Clinton is a anti-American supporter of the terrorist as are 99.9% of Democrats. Since OBL won the election yesterday and we will surrender soon what difference does it make. The Republic is finished as it was when idiots in the Senate of Rome decided they were more valuable than the people or their way of life.

The dems would be wise to remember Joe Lieberman when spewing about such things. His race was the most telling of what democratic voters want.

For anybody who missed it or who has forgotten:

From November, 2000:

(AP) Senator-elect Hillary Rodham Clinton began a victory tour of upstate New York Friday by calling for elimination of the Electoral College.

At an airport news conference, the first lady said she would support legislation seeking a constitutional amendment providing for the direct election of the president.

At the moment, Americans are waiting to see who wins Florida's 25 electoral votes and thus becomes the next president. Vice President Al Gore leads Republican George W. Bush in the popular vote nationwide.

"We are a very different country than we were 200 years ago," Clinton said. "I believe strongly that in a democracy, we should respect the will of the people and to me, that means it's time to do away with the Electoral College and move to the popular election of our president."

The first lady also said that because of the closeness of this year's presidential election, "I hope no one is ever in doubt again about whether their vote counts."

I know you're frustrated and depressed, but don't fall into this trap. Don't just lie down and die. Keep fighting, don't ever stop. Do you read history? Things looked so bleak in the 1930's that one of Churchill's friends and allies in the government actually killed himself. And yet, ultimately, the good guys won! Don't be the person who gives up- be the Churchill.

This is not the end of the world nor our nation.

For whatever reason, our guys got whipped yesterday. But that's the nature of politics. You know, it's like the old sports adage: "you win some, you lose some, some get rained out, but you gotta suit for 'em all."

Next stop is 2008, and lots of good things can happen that year. Let's make up our minds to focus on that.

In the meantime, we'll keep working, taking care of our families and friends, and trusting in God. All will be well.

Viva America!!!
