I really don't think I care to be here much anymore.Don't blame people here too much today, please. Aside from the trolls, of course, most folks today are in severe shock and should perhaps be given some slack just for a day or two. I do understand your feelings, though.

You know, I'm getting a better feeling.
Bush can bring a lot of issues to the Congress. ANWR, tax cuts, SS reform, etc.
He can throw them under the bus on a daily basis. The Democrats can be the ones who don't get anything done.
Cuz they won't.

True, Mike Savage for all points told the conservitives to "stay home". He better not crybaby if there is any attempts to do the "Fairness Doctrine".

WTF is Bush saying? Pelosi supports our troops? The anti war crowd supports our troops?
He should shut up rather than blither along. The RATS have every intention of creating another Vietnam, they don't care how many Iraqi's who DO want Democracy die (the only ones we should really care about) or that Iraq becomes controlled by Iran's mental Mullahs.
Creating another funding shortfall and re-creating Vietnam has Pelosi drooling.

I don't think so, and if so, it's a bad idea. A recess appointment is valid only until the end of the next session of Congress -- in this case, until the end of this year. Then, Gates would have to be approved next year by either a Democrat-controlled or much closer Senate.

"return to our conservative roots"
Yes, fiscal conservatism is so hard to argue against, when the budget outflows are listed.
I'm still for low tax rates, that's what I believe I can effect.
Couple of years of high rates will convince some others,
they can be forgiven for their learning curve,
not everyone has the priviledge of the Limbaugh Institute.

Actually the impeachment of Clinton is what probably made the race as close as it was.
Clinton fatigue had set in but when the Republicans tried to remove him from office over "sex", it annoyed alot of independent voters. (And yes, I know it wasn't about sex but that is what the majority of people believed.)

I would say that Rummy is refusing to work for a country that has gone left, let alone be ridiculed by them day after day for the next two years. This is his big f-you.
