Did you know that in one year in just Baghdad...we renovated nearly 500 Schools? Did you know that a company of Engineers built a 5 mile water pipeline to a farming community within sight of Baghdad that had been waiting for 33 YEARS to have water running from their taps?
Did you know that we are completely rebuilding the infrastructure of Iraq...in some cases from the ground up?
Did you know that an Artillery Battalion commander worked with the Down Syndrome society in Kansas City to supply a privately run school for children with Downs Syndrome in Baaghdad? His soldiers also helped renovate the school.
I'll just make a guess that you are totally surprised that these kinds of things and more are going on in Iraq AS WE SPEAK.
I must have missed the part about "Do you know how many terrorists we are killing, while not being accused of murder?"

I have to say that Bush is being a good loser and showing real class here...I just wish some of the "Real conservatives" who have been complaining would learn to do the same.
Bush: "Do not confuse the workings of our democracy with a lack of will."
"Don't be doubtful...our nation will always support you."

Stay sober, Democrates are going to have to face reality, in the war,
2 choices, Strengthen the Forces, or not.
To: Miss Marple
All true, but it still makes me a little sad.
This part speaking to our enemies, people of Iraq and our military is very good. Big change from the start of the speech.

The thing is, it won't be over, this isn't something like wars of the past...These people are not going to stop unless we stop them. This should have been made more clear to the American people, and I really don't think it ever was, not good enough IMO.I agree entirely. This is the worst part about last night's results. Much of the rest of the damage the Dems will do can be repaired, but if we leave Iraq, it will be taken over by whichever Islamofascist dictator can defeat his competitors, and the Iraqi people's hope for democracy will be lost. And the world's trust in the U.S. will be gone. Oppressed people everywhere will decide--correctly--that America cannot be relied on, and that it's useless to fight for their own liberty. It will be 100 years before that lesson fades.
Shoot, I don't want to sound despairing. I hope I'm totally wrong about all this. But the news about Rumsfeld's resignation is a severe blow. What must our troops be thinking?

That's it. I'm out of here. I've had enough of this. The Democrats will force a pull out of IRaq too soon, the government will collapse, radicals will take over, and Iraq will be like Iran and Syria, Afghanistan will fall not long after and we will have wasted 4,000 military lives and five years because the American people went gutless before winning the war. America is far more in danger from terrorism because of this election. Someday people will see what a mistake this election was, but it will be too late, and after many lives are lost.

Appeasement is the reality?
If so, then like I quoted: We have met the enemy and he is us.

The Republicans never got used to being the majority party. They acted nervous the entire time they were in power.
