I just hope whoever will be MINORITY leaders will be backed up by the rest of the party. I am so tired of all the pub leaders being thrown under the bus the minute the MSM doesn't like them.
Let me again go over the list. Who stood up for any of them??
Newt
Livingston
DeLay
Hastert
Boehner
Lott
Frist
Now, you may argue over any of them, but at the first squeak from the DBM -- they were thrown over.
The only victory we had over the Dems was Daschle. Everyone else is still around.
We will now have a covicted criminal in charge of the House Intelligence Committee.

But he hasn't supported everything he does. Look, every conservative commentator has been given a gift- two years of unabashed freedom of expression. Now that the Dems are in control, and Bush isn't up for re-election, conservatives across the board can trash the ones in office now without any immediate repercussions.

It's ironic how many on FR have use the line, for joke, It's all Bush's fault. Today, too many are actually espousing it, as fact. This is one of the saddest part of this day. Is he perfect no. We have been and are blessed President Bush is in office fighting WOT handled 9/11 and forward.
It was the media, congress and the Senate themselves. Throw some scandals for the media to spend days on. Now people will again do Blame Bush Game. Disgraceful.

I think Bush is probably as fed up with the repubs as we are. Backstabbing him and waffling in support. He probably has no idea who his friends are. Spineless weeny republicans trash him every day. Smarta$$ conservatives trash him for not being "conservative" enough.
Who's worse them or the dims?
WHO is this man's friend?? I love GWBush!! And will NOT go against him the way I am hearing now.

They've done their jobs conservatively. Roberts and Alito are the best we could have asked for.

It sounds like Rush's liberation could be better named a "cut and run" from conservatives who don't follow his idea of what should be done.

that's not a one size fits all solution - if we had Chaffee's seat now, we'd have the senate (a tie at least) - which would be better then we have now.
To: MarkLevinFan
Rush, what are you trying to say? Just say it.Rush's show today is all about him.
What a drag.
He's still the insecure Jeff Christie.
Who would have guessed that yesterday's elections would be all about him?

I owe you an apology. A few weeks ago, I said that the Repubs were going to win hands down, and I was wrong. I will double check my confidence from now on. I don't want an apology. I want my fellow citizens in Maryland to grow a brain! Michael Steele was their big chance to put an over qualified African American in office. If the dems really believed in affirmative action then why didn't they follow through?
It simply proves how shallow and vapid their belief system really is.

The point is that we can do nothing.... Wait till the next budget, or money for the troops, or backing for dealing with the UN or Iran, judges, John BOlton, etc.
Poof, it's gone.

Rush: "I'm tired of sticking my head out for people that don't do it for themselves. ... I'm not going to defend the direction of the party if it is against my beliefs."
That really is the bottom line. Good for Rush saying it.
