Nope...this is how California does things. Anything that's legal should be illegal and anything illegal should be legal. It's positively pathological...just like the RINO-infested California GOP.

Just more signs of the liberal *&^%hole that California has turned into. Total insanity.

Gotta love the people's republic of Santa Monica. The city is run by some of the most loony libs in the country.
I can't wait for people to start lighting up the doobies on 3rd street.

Well it's not like they're smoking pot at bus stations and outdoor restaurants, right? What's so insane about it? Pot busts of adult smokers SHOULD be an absolute low priority at best? It makes for a funny article, but there's no connection. One has to do with drug enforcement, the other with smoking in public places.

Next Cali will make it illegal for employers to discriminate against hop-heads while applauding employers who refuse to higher smokers.
Pot smoke is much more offensive IMO.

"personal use of marijuana should be the lowest law-enforcement priority..."
In other words, illegal smoking of tobacco is a higher enforcement priority.

I grew up in Long Beach. And I am old enough to have watched California change from a conservative MODEL STATE, leader of the nation in every critical way....into a liberal dung heap, at the bottom of pile in many ways now.
I am very familiar with California is and what the libs and the moron voters who put them there, have done to this state.

In other words, illegal smoking of tobacco is a higher enforcement priority. I think you have the right perspective here. Tobacco is to be treated as the greater health hazard, at least in San Francisco. Sure seems odd, but then I've been in SF and have seen things odder than this.

Making pot enforcement a low priority does not equate to going after tobacco instead. It is essentially meaningless as weed was already a low priority here....and I live in Santa Monica & know the chief of police.
