Yeah - I remember that from back in the day when you had that popping up at DU.

Well, now it's payback time. Time to take back this country from the party that had power and no idea how to use it - except for war, higher oil prices, and letting terrorists attack us at home.

Weak at every turn from immigration to...well just about everything. bush let you down, leaders were humiliated and had to leave, and family values leaders fell to adultery and meth.

Tonight was like shooting fish in a barrel. Iraq is a mess. You won the war in a few days and lost in a few years of hell.

You know, I can respect that. I worked for a gun reloader back in the clinton days. Remember 'Spotlight' magazine and the worry over waco and Okie city?

I hung out with a lot of milita folks who were worried - and I was too. And the things we worried about, bush went in and did.

Remember OBE (Outcome Based Education)? I fought that here in Ohio - it is the exact same thing as no child left behind.

I fought on principle, and then the power that fought that came into power - and started to implement the very things I was against, and that they were against.

the left sees the RW christians as wanting to impose the same things as islamic folk want to

That is because the left are insane on this issue. As for ruled by fear, I cite my tagline.

I am happy the republicans lost - yes.

See my post above this one. Too much power and doing the same things that clinton and dems were condemned for wanting/doing.

No, they'll take a plane to Tijuana and cross the southern border.

You do realize that if we pull out, Iran will move in and we'll have killing fields of the Sunnis and Kurds just like Cambodia. And the Dems who voted for the war will be complicit in it. This isn't just about our troops. There's a lot more at stake. I know people there. I want them home, too. But we need to get the Iraqis on their feet first, or there will be a bloodbath the likes of which we haven't seen in a long time.

Let's see how long this stays up.

It should stay up long enough for someone with some computer talent to post the pic of the kitty toying with the swinging legs!

It is because the left sees people wanting to impose their own brand of faith on others, and having the power to do so, as scary. I doubt many here would want a pope-like person running this country and having the power to make law and enforce it. The baptists, as an example, would be screwed.

With our government in place in iraq, if that goes down I can see the people supporting us toasting Iran. If Iran is that dumb, they deserve the US and Israel going in.

So, are you saying "Straight Story" is really "Gay Story"????

Their fear is irrational. The enemy is the Islamofascists. They don't just want to end abortion or gay marriage. They want to convert each and every one of us or kill us if we won't.

To equate Christians with the Islamofascists is insane.

Which doesn't quite provide an example of how your life is being intruded upon. Nor shall I hold by breath waiting for such an example. I understand your fear in the abstract, I am incredibly skeptical of it being a reality in your life (unless you take a large number of phone calls from overseas on a pay-as-you-go cell).

What exactly were you and your militia buddies so concerned about that Bush did? Seriously. Name a few concrete points.

As for OBE, it is nothing like NCLB. The teacher's unions loved OBE, they hate NCLB with a passion. They are nowhere close to the same. You are incredibly misinformed on this.

Hell, I probably posted that. But clinton did not go in to Iraq and leave us there to die.

I support our troops - by bringing them home from that hell hole. What is Iraq going to do, get a row boat and come over here and attack us??

Clinton's motivation for launching missile strikes is painfully obvious. However, during his entire presidency there were troops stationed in the Middle East and in Iraq.

Murder rates in many major US Cities (read: liberal/dem governor and lots of gun control laws) is significantly higher than US troop casualty rates in Iraq.

It has been known for a long time that Saddam was pursuing nuclear ambitions, and that he had nuclear materials. Do you honestly think that he would not supply those materials to someone willing to use them in the US?

Well, I am guessing/hoping you are being sarcastic.

My best friend is gay, and a freeper, and had it not been for him I would not have found this site years ago and posted so much here (not under this name, left and came back of own accord, was also a site donor for years here).

I don't see one's sexuality as the problem, pedophiles and sex freaks come from both sides of the fence.

Am I against gay agendas, the left, etc? Damn right I am. But I don't see being gay as the main factor in this case or others. I see personal responsibility as the main factor - and in this case foley messed up in that arena.

The dems are hypocrites in this arena to be sure, they only care about screwups when it is our party doing such. Shame on them.

But you broadbrush a whole group of people, some of which DO support the right and conservatives, and the belief that people should be free to live their lives the way they see fit.

I remember you were not real fond of Bush back in the day, nor were some others here. Back then we were more focused on better government and leaders, and just as hard on conservatives as we were liberals. We had standards, and those that failed such standards were treated the same.

Dems blow to be sure, but attacking all gays in your post does not seem to help our cause or our side. Maybe I am missing the sarcasm, shame on me if that is the case.

I hope we can stick to attacking the main problem - liberals. And gay does not equal liberal from what I have seen and known in life. But I can see more and more gays moving away from our party with such posts as this. Which is a shame because the gays I know want the same things we do - less government, less crap in education, and more people to be able to choose freely how to live their lives.

---I may get banned for this, who knows. If so - I am signing of then as who I once was, Chance33_98.

ID cards moving along, smart cards, RFID, and a variety of intrusions into private citizens privacy.

I tracked em during clinton and did not like em them, and expected such to end. They only progressed. Why?

Iraq is majority Shia. They would welcome an Iranian invasion with open arms. Count on it. We'd have to go back in to save Iraq, except this time we'd be fighting the Iranians directly. And they are very, very close to having nukes.

We pull out now, we are looking at a huge war. 3000 American dead will seem like child's play then.

They might see little green men running the pentagon, that doesn't mean that what they see is real. There is no evidence whatsoever that there are any people in the political leadership of the GOP who want any such thing.

Oh my GOD, you are dumber than I thought! If this is how all the DUmmies think, we are in BIG trouble!

Did you ever hear the word "terrorist" and "airplane"? I doubt the terrorists came here in a rowboat
