No they voted because they are tired of a perceived arrogant and corrupt party who failed to deliver anything they promised. This was not a vote for Dem's but a vote against the GOP. The average Joe is not a partisan, and when they smell corruption they vote it out, thats how we got power to begin with.

Yes, I agree with you. The wound from last night is still open though. There were many, many times over the past 2 years I was real angry with my own representatives. I wrote them, called them, and wrote some more. It seemed they were not listening, at all. One letter was all I got back with a response that made my blood boil. A response trying to justify a chunk of pork barrel spending tied onto the budget.
Yesterday, I didn't withdraw my vote from the party even though my party has withdrawn from me.
