LOL - I would want to say that too, but presidents cannot take the ball and go home. W is lame-duck now, big time. I think he knows he staked everything from 9/11 until today on fighting terrorism the best way he believed. Until tonight it worked and he had faith in the American people that the support would be there. He is probably quite shaken tonight on a personal level but I believe he is strong inside and will still do what he thinks is right. Except now he has no allies (of any power) anywhere. Irony is he cut taxes, help the economy grow to record levels, deposed a dictator, freed two nations, eliminated thousands of terrorists from this world, and put 2 good judges on the court. I suppose he has a legacy coming to him but the present is bleak.
Darn right. We deserve the government we elect. Unfortunately, our Troops do not. I feel so darn bad for them. We let them down.

In a perverse way, I agree with you. That is exactly what Bush should do. You voted for the Dems. Okay. Out of Iraq - now! Wiretapping - stopped! Patriot Act - scrapped! Looking at bank transactions - no more! Higher taxes - we raise it up to 75 %, across the board! Hell, that is the new direction people want, so let's give it to them!
