I just had a wonderful thought on another thread. With losing the senate, that means that Specter loses his gavel and so does McCain. :o)
This definitely weakens McCain before his presidential run.

Except that McLame was all over tonight, trying to appear to have great gravitas, claiming that the GOP must now gather together ( around HIM, naturally! ), to effect change. He's still running!

This definitely weakens McCain before his presidential run.I disagree. It might take McCain to stop a fullout meltdown of the GOP in '08. The democrats ran to the center and they won.
