This definitely weakens McCain before his presidential run.

I disagree. It might take McCain to stop a fullout meltdown of the GOP in '08. The democrats ran to the center and they won.

Nah, it'll be Rudy. He fought like crazy for the GOP. He was everywhere. McCain in now tainted, he won't make it.
