Look I dont like moderates myself but thats why the politics is heading. Conservatives are not a winning majority by themselves and there are too many divisions within our ranks ( fiscal versus social versus libertarian etc). The party has to refocus and regroup and find a winning message, structurally Republicans have to re group.
We need Reagan again. Santorum is too perky, Allen is a stuffed shirt, Rudy is too liberal, McCain too herky jerky. Who do we have? What this election should scare the sh*t out of most of you, is the real prospect is your idiot neighbor watching American Idol with his Kennedy sign in the front yard could vote for Hillary in '08. How many Republicans make any effort to articulate a conservative message? Pushing "Democrat Lite" as a message is like drinking seawater because you're thirsty. You may die of thirst if you don't drink it, but you'll be no less likely if you do.
