The Democrats now have a decision to make.

Do they accept the gains and realize to hold onto them, they have to stay in the center, which comes at the risk of losing their base in 2008 (like the GOP in 1996)?

Or do they take advantage and run a liberal agenda that is popular among their base but not the population as a whole, which comes at the risk of the GOP regrouping and reclaiming in 2008 (like the GOP in 1992 and 1998)?

Both of them have risks attached to them.

It will be hard for the donks to throttle back on all the vitriol they have been spouting for the past six years. I think they will have to continue as the "anti-Bush" party, and the faithful will demand hearings and obstructionism.

The joker in the deck, as always, is world events. A major terror attack could change everything.

You forget who bought and paid for all those Democrat wins tonight - Soros and his 20+ buddies who have given millions. Do you really think the money people are going to allow the Dems to govern anywhere near the middle when their purpose is to bring down the country as quickly as they can and fold us peons into their NWO?
