Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
Sorry, link is too long to work, I guess...
Try this:

if Bush plays hardball, he can get a minority conservative confirmed...Clarence Thomas was confirmed with a DEM Senate.
The only hope for Burns is that some non-overseas absentee votes haven't been included in the tally. I don't think that's the case, though.
What a dark day. I can't stop wondering about all of our prayers.
I'm sure the terrorists are very happy this morning.
I don't go in for name calling, that is for the likes of the radical insane leftists amongst our population. But I will say this, if the conservative movement can not gets its act together with respect to enforcing the laws of the land, then forget it. Ronald Reagan agreed to a one time amnesty on the basis that the future enforcement of our immigration laws would stop illegal entries. The RINOs and the democrats reneged on that promise. Perhaps he should have known better but he definitely was not an advocate of open borders as so many so-called conservatives tend to be today.
They're thrilled! They see this as a defeat of President Bush.
I have been watching the national elections, but how are the state elections going? I know there are now new Democrat governors, but how did the other state elections go? If it is a Democrat sweep in the states, then CCW could be in trouble.
How it always happens. The left has controll over the media, and more importantly K-12 and University education, where we graduate indoctrinated moonbats. Our youth is being brainwashed, and no one did a damn thing about it. I wish our Republican congress could have thought about the "long term strategy" which means putting a priority on dismantling these institutions. Honestly, the problem needs fixin' at the root. We got cut out the funding for public media, and all the money going to liberal ED programs.
The only way to get another conservative justice on the Supreme Court is for Bush to fight, and fight hard, for that appointment. But there's really no reason for him to waste whatever political capital he has left on a court nomination battle he could easily lose. Especially since he no longer faces election. If Stevens retires, I would expect another Souter or Kennedy.
At this point, Bush can go to war for a conservative on SCOTUS to replace Stephens. What do we have to lose. Get out the long knives, I say.
Doesn't seem to bother Mrs. Stephen King when she's buying another Rolls. ;)
Get off your high horse. Borders were about the 20th most important issue to voters in this election, behind perhaps the divorce of Brit and K-Fed.
My thoughts exactly... no nonsense like "amnesty", and consult your friends in the Senate beforehand, not just spring something on them and let them twist in the wind when Dems/media define the issue or person.
I think part of the reason the Republicans have been so timid is that they have been so scared of losing their slim majority. It's like the team trying to play prevent defense in football.
Now that they are behind again I think some of the agreesiveness will return.
Remember the Dems have something to lose with a hard fight against a USSC nominee. They will increase the chances that the GOP will begin using these same tactics against their nominees if their man is elected in 2008.
One thing's for sure. The propaganda machine worked. Lazy Americans bought the lies. Mad conservatives sent their message, and we all now pay the price.
God Bless our troops.
Another loud BULLSHIT!!!
Yeah, blame the institutions, blame the media, neither was in place in 1994, 2000, 2002, 2004. Blame the cause. Those congress-volken who's wives just needed another fur coat, condo or golf trip. Those border-bots, immigration Johnny One-notes, Evangelicals who "had to make them pay". Lay it at their feet. All those dependable constituencies did this.
Until people realize the other guy's agenda might be as important to him as yours is to you, we can kiss it all good bye.
Given the democRAT filibusters of the President's judicial nominees, I can't see how anything is vastly different with even a slim RAT majority in the Senate.
Right on all counts. Getting 70 or 80 percent is never enough for the "real" conservatives and lazy Americans are clueless. Wait until they see their 40K's tank.
God bless and please keep safe pur brave troops.
