All I can tell you is this:
I'm a young retiree and have been for 8 years (since my early 40's). I live in a predominantly retirement area and we vote 75-82% in our precinct. We're mostly conservative and since we have time, we socialize a lot and talk politics a lot.
Not one of those people thought intervening in that mess was a good idea. My parents are in their 70's and have voted Republican all their lives and they thought the late night emergency meeting of Congress to deal with one person and one issue when we're at war with other much larger issues was one of the worst mistakes they've ever seen.
Did I say that lost the election? Absolutely not. It's one example of many of how the "true blue" conservatives moved this party. And to the party's detriment, imo.

We keep the Senate, by 2.
No House for the Rats.
No Senate for the Rats.
This is going to get fun later on tonight.

McConnell is a good enough guy. I've heard his wife is sharp as a tack. I just wish he'd have a chin implant. Looks too much like Frank Burns...

It was an honest question. Who stayed home? Who are the freepers? I'm still praying for a miracle but if there has to be blame placed, why not start with all the lying, cheating and stealing that seems to go on during elections.
