Warning: What to Expect

All right, folks. Guess I have to do it again around here and hand out the chill pills.
1) It is absolutely clear to me that we have won this. We will keep the Senate, and I'm 90% sure we keep the House. We'll probably gain a seat, maybe two in the Senate.
2) I know this from the turnout numbers, just as I did in 2004. The fact is, forget Indies. They don't vote in high numbers. It's all about the two parties, and who gets out their base.
We have done that today beyond my wildest expectations. The info we have from the Hotline on turnout is overwhelming, and in virtually every key state, we have exceeded Dem turnout by 2, 3, 4, or 6%.
As I predicted, we are seeing a Dem UNDERVOTE. They are underperforming, esp. in key states such as OH. However, they are underperforming far worse than even I dreamed. We are looking at 20% in Cuyahoga County! Brown and Strickland couldn't get elected dog catcher with that level of support.
SO HERE IS WHAT TO EXPECT: THE MEDIA IDIOTS HAVE THEIR TEMPLATES. THEY WILL BE VERY SLOW TO COME AROUND. IT WILL BE A LONG NIGHT, BECAUSE THEY WON'T BELIEVE THEIR EYES.
They may even "call" a few House races, maybe a Senate race, based on some ridiculously low "exit poll" and have to recant later. Be patient. The turnout numbers suggest we absolutely cannot lose.

Then why are Fox News' exit polls so negative on the Republicans by 2 to 1?

That's it, sr, it's the fact that we are defending the country against traitors and traitor-wannabes who can't think.

"I got an inkling of an impending RAT disaster this evening when the national news talked about exit polls listing nearly 6 in 10 voters disapproving of the conduct of the war in Iraq and in President Bush's job performance."That was telling. What a strange thing to report. W ain't running and there was nothing on my ballot as to conducting the war. ;^)

I don't know if the prediction is correct or wishful thinking.
I
do know that the past fifteen or so minutes on Fox News were a marvel of misdirection and/or scripted coverage.
The graphic tallies almost universally showed Republicans to be in a lead, the accompanying verbal reporting was "a bad night for the Republicans".
I know as well as anyone that you cannot call an election on 3% of the vote, but it seems that the two halves of the message come from two different sources - without any effort to make them mesh.
(In one instance, studio guy was talking about 'only limited precincts' while in-state guy was telling him that far more precincts had reported and the results were precisely opposite)

They are still relying on the old flawed exit polls. They ask people coming out of certain precincts how they voted. Even if accurate, they are tiny, tiny numbers and subject to incredible swings. But people have been lying to these exit pollsters and/or the pollsters have been making up their own answers for the last 2-3 elections. So they have become worthless.

It will prevent a lot of the dead from voting and the living from voting twice.....
Thanks for the laugh.....We got to win this for the troops...we just have too...
I can't even imagine the alternative, but if that's the way it falls, I'll have to regroup and fight on for them....
Praying here on Long Island...we already have surrendered here in NY....

Northrup now down 4000 votes with 78.4% reporting.
she will need some kind of surge to win it now.
if Northrup loses, that's a bad indicator.

A hopeful ping. I have to admit you have been stalwart of optimistism recently LS. Hope you're right.

Certainly not a good indicator. But there were GOP issues with her campaign late. For ex., she wouldn't go negative, and negative ads work. But remember, there are those absentee ballots.

What's with CNN calling for Strickland the minute the polls closed, when some polls didn't even close yet due to court order????Maybe the Dems in Cleveland will just stay at home, then.

i am sick of fair and balanced. When one side are liars, it gives equal weight to lies and truth. That is wrong.
Instead, we need facts and reasonable discussion, which no one seems to have anymore.
So, right now I am watching candy-making on Food Network, and looking forward to Emeril.
