You really think Lieberman is going to be Independent...that is a joke...he's a wolf in sheep's clothing!

Yes, he is. But Lieberman lost favor with the dems because he is FOR the WOT. He understands the Terrorist threat.

For me, at least, that is what the election is about. Its not about power-hungry dems, its about power hungry socialists, those that would sell out this country. I don't believe liberman falls to that level.

On another note:

If the dems take it, and the WOT comes to these shores, whose head do you think will come off first? You think Al queda will let pelosi run around shooting her mouth off? You think AQ wants her let loose without A BURKA?

If The Dems win, it's a sadder day for them than us, because they will not have seen it coming.

But in two years these "conservative" democrats will have to defend their voting records in another race. Those in red districts will go down.

The democrats winning tonight are all running as right wing conservatives. Pro-God, guns, and country. They're all for lower taxes and supporting our military. (That's what they're saying now, anyway) When the voters say conservative - they mean it. Conservativeness ALWAYS wins, and wins big.

And THIS is the most important point. Middle of the road conservative values ALWAYS win. Combine this with 24 months of Nancy Pelosi and we can make a really clear delineation between us and them. Look like we will be -8 in the House, +1? or all square in the senate -- looks at worst like we will know where Mr. Cheney will be for the next 2 years LOL. Let's hope that the next majority leader (R) has the balls to tell the D's no power sharing!

You're mistaken. Basically all of the pickups in the NE are by liberals.

Looks like this election will be good news for pollsters. They all basically were right about the direction of this election, and in basically all the races individually.

But only a few days before the actual election when they had to be honest. Early polls are always bogus..

Al Jazeera's got Noam Chomsky on now talking about how this election shows that even Americans are tired of "Bush's imperialist war". Maybe we shoulda just used some nukes early on.

In MD, according to CNN's website, 35% is in. But only 20% is in from heavily Democrat Baltimore City (which is swinging 80-20 Cardin), and 25% from Montgomery County in the Washington Suburbs (about 70-30% Cardin). On the other hand, many of the small rural Republican counties are 100% counted.

It's going to be an uphill battle for Steele, absent a very strong absentee ballot showing.

Please don't shoot the messenger.

Unfortunately we will be in a power sharing situation again. Mitch McConnell was on yesterday talking about this, it's basically a foregone deal when the senate is divided like this.

Good glad to see that. The stupid DUmmies are mocking us. They are having to grab at straws to find anything, though. We have behaved very well, I think. As usual, they are celebrating before the finish. Looks like they would have learned from 00 and 02 and 04. They are so immature.

The outstanding precincts favor Webb but I don't see how he can make up 30,000 votes. I think Allen wins by about 10,000.

The democrats are claiming that seat. It's been given to them already and counted for some reason.
