IN, OH and KY Election Results Here!
This is riding on the shoulders of George Allen now. Hoep and pray tonight that something big comes from that. Has anyway heard anything about the Steele race? Did he ever concede?
Webb is now ahead by 7815 votes BTW. That's getting close to beating the auto-recount threshold.
There's still hyper-GOP Medina County to be counted there fully, but I doubt that provides more than 5,000 more vote-differential. Bonilla should also win Val Verde County by a good margin, so maybe another 1-2,000 additional.
Probably will be around 49% at the end and gets to face Ciro Rodriguez. There could be worse things
All correct including the Bonilla observation, although the Marshall seat cannot yet be called, but it is probably Marshall. I am shocked and saddened by Leach's loss. He is an honorable man, and grew up in my mother's home town, and knew my grandmother, back when before he went into politics. Very sad to me personally.
Yes.
It is time to see if I can mentally reanimate the Burn's rube corpse.
Wilson up a few hundred with 5% left. The wave was about 3-4 points. The last generics had it about right. Waterford still out In CT 2. I'm about ready to bag it. What's the total damge likely to be?
I must say I am impressed with your predications. You predicted Webb to win, 49.5 to 49.
Wilson has edged into a 310 vote lead, BTW. Yes, Leach is definitely one of the most saddening losses.
I can't do a Frankenstein on Burns. He loses by about 5,000 votes maybe. So the Dems get maybe 26 in the House, and 6 in the Senate, and win most of anything else of interest. A suck night.
We are old enough to have suffered nights like this biennially for many years. This too shall pass. Take care and do what you can for Conrad. :-}
I can't deny that I did do a reasonably excellent job so far as the Senate goes. I might've even won $500 bucks fwiw if that was legit. :)
And then there's the House. I didn't do quite so hot on that one, but at least I've got plenty of data to improve the calibration of my crystal ball.
I've estimated a Dem gain of about 29 fwiw.
I have lost count myself. That seems a bit high.
Are you assuming Sali, Reichart and Wilson wins, with Gard losing, with Simmons and Pombo still out?
Stinky part. No more good judges confirmed. Also the RATs could control the Senate for sometime. For the 2008 cycle, we have Wayne Allard and John Sununu as our most vulnerable. The RATS most vulnerable would be Mary Landrieu, but she may not be that vulnerable.
We all kind of sucked at the House. Your Senate predictions were excellent, all told. Of course, if you would have told me Leach would lose and Pryce (or Shays) would possibly win, I would have probably not believed it either.
NH-01, NH-02, CT-02, CT-05, NY-19, NY-20, NY-24, PA-04, PA-06, PA-07, PA-10, OH-18, IN-02, IN-08, IN-09, KY-03, NC-11, FL-16, FL-22, MN-01, WI-08, IA-01, IA-02, KS-02, TX-22, CO-07, AZ-05, AZ-08, CA-11.
That's 29, with clear possibles in CT-04, ID-01, NV-03, WA-08, and NM-01. There are few much longer shots (CO-04, WY-AL etc.) and several that might yet be saved by the GOP (e.g., CT-02, PA-06)
I left PA-08 off the list. Make it 30.
Shays will win and has been called as such by CNN. Just fyi.
