I thought he was going to lose it a few months ago. Conservatives here that I wouldn't have never dreamed would vote Democrat, liked Ford. They were actually falling for his BS. I was in a panic there for a while plus I never dreamed Allen would lose until recently.
On OH-01 I'm just assuming because of the typical way it goes. You're quite probably right about OH-15 and FL-13. No dispute about that. BTW, if Democrats are planning to count on Ohio in 2008 they might be in for a huge surprise.. As ugly as this may look, it really was the very best the GOP could've hoped for for tonight in the House at least.
If Simmons loses, the Dems win 24 seats. It could easily have been 30, or a bit more, but the Pubbies won most of the close ones.
What about Talent. Did he win?
If Bush starts vetoing liberal bills his approval ratings may rise.
The interesting thing tonight is that all types of Republicans (i.e Nancy Johnson & John Hostettler) fell. Thus, we can't blame the GOP for being too right-wing or too RINOish.
Allan says there are more things to count (absentees etc) and they will count them tomorrow. Allan is saying to Fox that HE is actually UP 5-6 thousand votes and the networks have the numbers wrong.

They're still counting absentee? He said they're still counting on FOX just now. Allen said FOX is reporting raw vote counts..
I heard some dems say they were for Corker, too, because of the WOT.
Ya, the big collapse was in Indiana, but it was so close in so many other areas. Allen campaign claims that the networks transposed votes, and he is ahead by 5,000 votes. Go figure. Loudin which was even, has some precincts out apparently.

Not a disaster I think. Corruption got us and for corruption perhaps we deserved to be got. Country remains 50-50 as ever.
