How does a person know a vote is counted wrong? I voted in NJ today. An "x" lights up where you place the votes and then you push one button to register them all. I would have no way of knowing how my vote was recorded.
This was NJ and I was very sorry to see the old mechanical ,achines replaced. It is my understanding they were the most accurate system possible. I think it was absolute insanity to switch to electronic voting.

37 counties in Pennsylvania use the ESS & Ivotronic. Partially owned by Hugo Chavez?

This election may bring the downfall of this Country. How can any election ever be trusted if even half of these stories are true, including no ballots in Republican districts in New Mexico?!

Sweetness and I voted via iVotronic today with absolutely no problems. The poll workers, whom I know, said it was brisk and smooth.

These the same machines they used in the primary 4 months, like 120 days ago?

I voted in Chester County (45 min southwest of Philly)this morning at 8:15. I used a paper ballot and then was supposed to put it through a scnning machine. The machine was down and so my ballot went into a slot to be counted later. The poll worker said voter services had been called and was on the way, but I think I'll stop by again as I go out now to make sure all is well. Either way, irregularities and fraud are Rendell's specialty. This can't be good.

Whatever happened to simple paper ballots and marking the candidate you want with an "X"?

If you vote for one candidate, the opposing candidate lights up. Give me the mechanical pull-the-lever-machines. I distrust the electronic ones more because of the possibility of programming tampering.

The electronic machines worked FLAWLESSLY all day at my polling place here in PG county, Marlyand.
Odd that the "issues" would be so concentrated...
