Inaccurate sample ballots describing Republican Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. and Senate candidate Michael S. Steele as Democrats were handed out to voters in at least four polling sites in Prince George's County this morning. The ballots were handed out by people who said they arrived by buses this morning from Pennsylvania and Delaware.
...
After a two-hour bus ride to Maryland, Markle said the workers were greeted early this morning by first lady Kendel Ehrlich, who thanked them as they were outfitted in T-shirts and hats with the logo for Ehrlich's reelection campaign. Nearly all of those recruited, Markle said, are poor and black. Workers traveled to Maryland in at least seven large buses.
...
Ehrlich spokeswoman Shareese DeLeaver said the sample ballot was produced by a local branch of the campaign that targets Prince George's Democrats who support Ehrlich. She said it was not a deceptive effort.
Exactly. If someone is that stupid to not know, then that is their own fault. Why must we continually be required to hold the hands of the Democrats to vote? In many cases, they vote and can't even read. Geez.
Jesus! This is like satire. Doesn't anyone read things?
NO!!!
Mfume's son did endorse Steele, but Mfume himself DID NOT. But the brochure lies (like it lied to you!) and tells voters that Mfume did endorse both Steele and Ehrlich.
I can't see the whole brochure but where does it say Mfume and company endorsed Steele?
1 of them endorsed Steele -only-. That's it. Nothing else is true in any way.
You know, you keep saying that, then why not point out who supports who.
OK, I will for you since you are to lame to
The article says
Curry has endorsed Steele
Now, you could of done that instead of posting 5 times some crap.
To be fair, many campaigns on both sides seem to be using these paid pollworkers, often gathered from the streets and given money to work on election day. I saw it a lot during the primary (voted absentee for general). You can often tell that they have no real connection with the campaign.
It's legit, actually. It's a simple brochure headlined "Ehrlich-Steele Democrats" followed by 3 photos of black leaders, including Kweisi Mfume, followed by "There are our choices." The only thing true is that one of the 3 are Steele Democrats. Other than that, it's a total lie.
On the back is a list of candidates who to vote for, mostly (I'm assuming) are Republicans.
This leads one to believe the three black leaders pictured are all Democrats who endorse Steele/Ehrlich.
It says it on the front. "Ehrlich-Steele Democrats" followed by 3 photos of black leaders, including Kweisi Mfume, followed by "These are our choices." It's pretty straightforward what those three sections together are meant to communicate.
A total lie? Well, as Steny Hoyer is a candidate I'll agree. I think he's barely breathing let alone a viable candidate.
Other than that, um, ok.
Because no one is reading what I wrote. The same stupid replies are being posted by people who don't read the article and merely reply to the title of the thread.
The list of candidates are all Democrats except for Steele and Ehrlich.
Ah, It's what they "are meant to communicate".
I got over that phase a long time ago. I tend to read things nowadays.
Maybe they meant to do it. He is black, I assume everyone on their list is black.
Don't be dense. If you have those three sections grouped as they are, what message do you get from it other than that those three are supporting Ehrlich-Steele?
Don't be a nimrod. You're reading things that are not there. First you claim that those three "endorsed" Ehrlich-Steele where there is no such language on the brochure.
If you wish to give aid and comfort to the enemy, I'll give you Teddy's campaign HQ number.
Ditto. If you don't know who you are voting for by now, you don't deserve to vote.
I was handed one of these sample ballots outside DuVal High School about an hour ago, before entering the school to vote.
I took great and loud pleasure in chastising the young man who stuck the sample in my hand. Then voted the solid Republican line.
Jack.
