Breaking: (Possible) Philly Fraud (Not Confirmed Yet)
Redstate ^
Posted on 11/07/2006 6:55:08 AM PST by Weight of Glory
In precincts 7, 19, 51 in Philly, PA, the crowds are going wild. Inside several voting locations, individuals have poured white out onto the polling books and the poll workers are allowing voters to go into the polls and vote without first registering. Several individuals are on hand demanding that voters vote straight Democrat.
RNC lawyers have headed to the scene of the incidents, which are occurring in mostly hispanic precinct locations. The District Attorney has also been contacted.

Check this out for Democratic dirty tricks, from PMSNBC, picked up by DU:
According to Tucker Carlson just now on MSNBC...Virginia senate race...flyers are being distributed in heavily Democratic and African-American neighborhoods claiming that the election is off. The flyers say "paid for by the RNC."
Now does anyone see anything wrong with this picture?

An update from redstate.com (don't know if posted yet or not):
"More from the ground: Reports of voter intimidation by son-in-law of Philadelphia City Commissioner in 19th Ward. Carlos Mantos is not allowing Republican poll watchers with valid poll-watching certificates monitor polling places."

What's wrong with putting an X next to the name of the person you're voting for, like we do in England?

I love this online food shopping .. otherwise I might never have food in this house
Same here. It cost me 9.95 to have it delivered but I saved 45.00 with the sale items I bought so the delivery really payed for itself with some of the savings.

Makes me wonder if there will be pockets of ill-tempered dems getting physical and even violent when they fail to take control of either chamber of congress.

Philly is dirty every election cycle... its just a matter of how obvious it is up-front, or how obvious it is looking at returns (100% turnout in dem counties, etc)
If I had to pick on big city that is the shadiest, election wise, it would be Philly in a landslide.

This stuff might work in Mexico and Honduras, but if you mess up the polling books they'll just toss out all the votes. In the past, maybe. Nowadays, don't be so sure.

I might have jumped the gun unfortunately.
I left to vote when this thread was at about 100.
When I got to the polls they had signs outside that said 18 and 19.
I now see that they changed the report to Ward 19 , which is not where I am .

I hope it's wrong but it isn't too hard to believe either. I hope I get a call back from the Santorum campaign after they check it out.

Here in Washington State, even if we manage to pass an iniative (example; to repeal a tax), our legislators or activist judges overturn our decision. Very frustrating.

If there is one thing more dangerous to our democratic process than sporadic election fraud, it is rampant mistrust of elections, IMHO. We should be careful what we complain about. I disagree.
If there is one thing that can destroy our democracy, it is rampant electoral fraud. It has reached epidemic proportions in some parts of the country. It MUST be fought against, or we lose by default.
Here in Washington state, we have a governor who was elected via blatant fraud. NOTHING has been done to prevent this from happening again.
Instead of trying to correct a travesty, the state is moving to a 100% absentee voting system. It's a system that begs to be abused, and the politicians love it.
You cannot preserve a democracy when elections can be easily manipulated.
