I've decided (and I'm sticking to it) that Faith was genuinely shocked. No one would make this into a "joke" (and she didn't try to make it into one actually but a posse os people did). She just issued a rather lame statement to the effect that she'd never do something like that. OK, then what was it? This issue won't go down easy. Sorry about your cough. Sounds stress related. I've been shopping on ebay to ease the election pain, with Dancing on tv. When it breaks to tell me (over and over) that Illinois has the same governor and Hastert was soundly defeated, my neck tenses up. Not a good night but hopefully tomorrow will bring good news. Try a pot of boiling water, breathing in the steam by covering your head with a towel. Not too close, but perhaps it will ease the cough. Or try a hot shower.
Faith and Tim have a Hollywood mansion and the pressure to stay pretty (witness Reba as well...Good Lord) was impossible to resist.
If it was a joke, she was the only one in on it and it wasn't at all funny.
Thanks - I've tried everything at this point - it's more than 2 weeks now with just the coughing left of the cold, which didn't last long at all, itself.
I did go buy a vaporizer and something to put in it, out of desperation, but haven't opened it up yet. They quit making those little "Vapor Shots" things that help my asthma sometimes. It truly was quiet a lot of the afternoon, but when I thought maybe I would get out then, it started back up and hasn't stopped. It's definitely nerves/stress over this election. Can't stand the suspense.
Wow, Emmitt and Cheryl looked fantastic tonight. He has really grown on me over the past few weeks. I'm amazed that Joey & Edyta got a 30 on their rhumba, as it did nothing for me at all, compared to every other dance tonight.
So. Now they're all tied! Audience will decide it. I'd have to probably vote Joey out if I could, but that's a difficult choice.

Rumors. The real joke is the Whitney comment. I doubt Faith and Tim smoke crack.

Faith took the hit for all nominees on this one! Everyone thinks that Faith was shook up that she didn't win, that is UNTRUE - I think it was a SHOCK that some of the other super nominees didn't win and that a new commer with so-so-talent did. If it was a shock she needs to own up to it and represent things in real terms. Clearly, Faith did not like the outcome--that's her 5th amendment right to exhibit as such, but ABC may not want her aboard next year. Because Faith did not represent the masses at ABC, but she represented me.
I agree with your assessment. It was shock. But this throwing up her arms did indicate to me that she was posturing, thinking the win was hers.
Of course we don't know exactly what she was thinking when she had her "WHAT???!!!!!" moment. It may have been surprise at who won or it may have been anger that she lost. We honestly don't know for sure. Everyone has their speculations.
But people have to remember, these are NOT lifetime achievement awards. They reflect the past year. And for that reason, the right person won. The rest of the ladies managed to contain themselves. There's no excuse for Faith's behavior.
