I think Faith didn't know that a camera was on her live.

I will always be a Reba fan myself, but I love Patsy Cline!

I guess I can't get too worked up about this.
To me it's one boring entertainer upset about another boring entertainer. When their songs come on the radio, I can listen for about 30 seconds and then it's yawn, and flip the station.

Other fans have rushed to Faith Hills defense and argued that she was justified in her reaction because they feel the Female Vocalist of the Year award should go to a veteran performer. Wow, I think it should go to the best female vocalist of the year, regardless of how long they have been in the business. Length of time in the business shouldn't guarantee anything. Maybe Hill was confused and thought it was a 'lifetime achievement award'.

[Like I said in another thread that was the funniest thing ever seen. She definitely was not kidding.]
If it was an act, it was a good one. She should consider running for a Grammy Award next time.

Yeah, but I though Faith was a "Mississippi Girl" :p
To: griswold3
Yeah, that song was a serious attempt to get back to her roots after she failed to make a mark in Hollywood. Yet her tour with Tim was the highest grossing tour in country history this year. Still don't know why she thought she should have won. She's already had her 15 minutes.

That's what happens when a Democrat loses to a Republican.

I don't keep up with country music & I haven't seen Faith Hill in awhile. She sure is looking a lot older and has a "hard" look about her.
I'm glad Carrie won, I remember her from American Idol - she's a genuinely sweet person.
Stick a fork in Faith - she's done.
To: Madeleine Ward
Carrie really had a lovely acceptance speech, 'Two years ago I was at home watching this in Oklahoma!
That must have really chapped Faith's hide...

I hated Faith's last album and, IMHO, Underwood has more talent.

Blast it, I can't get YouTube where I worked, it's blocked. Is it in any other format, that I can download, yet?

Looks like Faith thought she had it in the bag...perhaps she was counting on the dead vote to carry her.

She can write a new country song about it: lost an award, lost my temper, got drunk, wrecked my truck...

She has been spending to much time in Hollyweird. Get back to your roots Faith. Remember where you came from. A nice small town is Mississippi and get your diva attitude out of your system.
To: alice_in_bubbaland
Faith probably thinks that Carrie is not a 'real singer' since she won a talent competition (voted on by more people than the 2004 Elections) on FOX.
Kelly Clarkson showed the pop world that a serious recording star can come off a talent show, I guess the country world has to get used to it too.
Personally, I think Kellie Pickler is terrific--she could be the next Dolly Parton!

my, how embarrasing... she started celebrating before she figured she didn't win .... ouchie! Yes, the article at the top of the thread is a bit vague. Faith didn't "throw her arms up" in anger over losing, she started to do a victory wave.
Verrry interesting.
