Please post your election news/reports here!!
It's 4:00 a.m. in Alabama, and I'm heading to a rural county as the GOP ballot security attorney.
It doesn't get more American than this!!
GOD SPEED, GOP!!
Okay, I'll bite....
2007???
Why not make this breaking news election 2006 live thread?
Yeah, they're gonna scream racism regardless. Of course you never heard a peep out of the media when Rev. Maurice Dawkins, Gary Franks, or Marvin Bailey Scott lost their Senate runs in 1988, 1998, and 2004 respectively. It's because all 3 were Black Republicans, and the media didn't indict the people of Virginia, Connecticut & Indiana for being racists because they chose to ignore these candidates even existed. Now whom are the real racists ?
2007 -- Blanco's going DOWN, Bay-BEE !!!! ;-D
5:15 here. Just saw hubby off to be the chief judge at our precinct.
I am going to vote later today and will let you know how it's going. We live in a heavy dem precinct.
Needless to say, I did, as I know their regular teacher does, too.

Wow. I didn't see it.

I won't make it to the polls until about 5:30 or 6:00 this evening; hope they're still open for me.
Heading out to the polls in about one hour. I called all my brothers and sisters to remind them to vote. That makes 7 votes for the R'. Six of the votes going to the R's in Jersey.
6 am here in Marietta, Ga. I will be walking across the street to my polling location in just a few minutes. It's raining here, so I don't expect any dims to be there ....... at least not until they get up at the crack of noon. I will report back in before I head to work.
Regards, Ivan
Magnificent, I am going early to meet Rush there.
Just got back from voting with bmwcyle, my husband. We got in line at 5:40am, were #2 and #3 in line....good thing were weren't late!
Lots of cars when we left but everyone is trying to get in before leaving for work. Polls are open 6am - 7pm here in Virginia. Sure hope things are busy all day.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!
Even here across the sea there are many that hope you'll carry the day and will see off the Dem challenge.
Neighbor fixed breakfast for poll workers/judges and early voters in neighborhood.
Mostly Dems, as is my neighbor, a few Repubs. No election talk -- prayer of Thanksgiving for our freedom to vote, plea for temperate minds whatever the outcome with no bitterness or hatred for the winners or gloating and derision towards the losers.
Amen.
Thank you troops for guarding us night and day.
That's not bad for 5th graders. Knowing the names is important, but knowing why you vote is so much MORE important.
I'm almost always out of town at a conference for election day and this year is no exception. In 2000 I was in San Francisco (ugh). I'm heading to the airport in a few minutes as I head to New Orleans for the largest convention held there since Katrina. I'll be back here tonight to join you all! The hotel does not get Fox News. :-(
