Now why did you go and write something like that for, now Wolf Blitzer is going to make a bad movie about how we ruined his career and that we threatened to kill him. Not that I really mind the movies so much, but if he turns up naked on the cover of a magazine with a bunch of words all over him, I'm going to pluck out my eye balls and blame you for it.

Ditto that.

I don't know that I would use FreeRepublid's name without Jim's permission. What I normally so is call the ones that advertise with them to voice my displeasure. Maybe getting a petition up the target the sponsors. I would be more than happy to sign one. My writing skills are lacking or I would offer to compose a letter that could be copied and emailed.

I agree that J.R. should be consulted first and also not mention FR without his permission.

As for targeting sponsors. I'm not sure that works. I think that if everyone were to seriously boycott CNN, and the others, their ratings would fall so drastically that their sponsors would not choose to do business with them anymore. Sponsors put their money where they think they get the most coverage for their products. If they see that fewer and fewer people are seeing their advertisements, they will take their ads and money elsewhere.

My disgust with the media is what my straight R vote this year is all about. In 2004 is when I first starting using the internet. What I have discovered about our media absolutely sickens me. I boycott all news channels (xcept FoxNews) and ALL shows on CBS, NBC and ABC. FoxNews-Brit, Gibson and Cavuto is what I watch when I'm in the mood.

No good reason to watch CNN, ever.

"Republicans will always be at a severe disadvantage in the media wars if we don't figure out how to embarass these people and reveal them for what they are."

I couldn't agree more.

You have freepmail.

How can I boycott something that I don't watch?
How can I stop watching dreck that already is *UNWATCHABLE*.

"Believe me, CNN does not want this fight."

The way they act, I figured they like declining ratings.

"I apologize for the vanity but I'm at my wit's end about the lack of basic fairness in our media. Can somebody steer me where I can find others to help me contact GOP politicos and see if we can't get something started?"

CNN has not shown it's ugly false words and face in our home since FNS came out striking them out of the competition.

I listen to conservative talk show hosts on a station that airs CNN news at the top of the hour and bottom of the hour break. CNN has the nerve to call itself the "the most trusted news...", what a joke.

CNN is so irrelevant and should have their heads hung in shame for their deliberate and calculated perfidy and vicious anti-American cheap swill.

"One problem, someone will have to watch them to make the list. How would we choose the loser."

OH boy! My husband is a very sweet and gentle man but I am afraid after 10 minutes and my foot going through the TV he might just lose it. He's a lot bigger than me. So I'm gonna quietly sit in my corner on my hands. Nope not me, I"m not raising my hand, lol.

I was surprised I got so many comments in such a short period. I thank evrybody for their comments but nobody has addressed my exact point: If the GOP made a very public display of this and CNN could not find a single republican to grace their studios, what eventually happens to their market share and advertising revenue?

If only David Horowitz was running the RNC (sigh).

The last time I watched CNN with any regularity Pat Buchanan was with the Reagan administration and cohosting Crossfire with a semi-senile liberal who drooled. It was rather amusing to see Pat give the old fellow his cues and help him through the show. That was before Pat and CNN both went off the deep end.

If I were to boycott CNN, I'd have to start watching it first.

I never, ever watch the Communist News Network anyway. If I wanted that crap, I'd go to a Communist website and read about their agenda myself.

I used to cringe when freepers called CNN the "communist news network" or the "Clinton news network. I saw CNN as a typically liberal leaning news network but relatively fair as far as networks go. However, I've watched them a few times in the past couple of months and they have definitely gone off the deep end. I haven't seen anything so blatantly biased since my days of watching the CBC years ago.

Have been boycotting CNN for years. But in October, wife and I went on a cruise for 7 days, and the only news was CNN. The ships satellite had CNN, CNN International, CNN in Spanish, and Fox (Denver affiliate - mostly sports).

I blasted the cruise line in my critique! If you think CNN is biased, try the international version! Pravda would have been jealous!

The problem with FR is that people mostly like to talk but not many are interested in action.
