I spoke with my congressman Rep. Howard Coble. He stated that if we lose, its because we did it to ourselves.

Robert Novak is full of crap. Tops the Democrats pick up 12. What Novak and all the other inside the Beltway types keep forgeting is the same thing they over looked in 1996. They are so busy counting up possible Rep loses they miss the 5 seats the US House Dems have at risk.

8 of those 12 seats are self inflicted wounds the Repbos leadership should of dumped the rubish holding them and looked for new blood.

The first is an arrogant and politically tin-eared Republican establishment in Washington. In the handling of key issues such as the occupation of Iraq, the response to Hurricane Katrina, and a meaningful follow-through on Social Security reform, the White House displayed incompetence.

No surprise registered Democrat Novak once again gives us the straight off the DNC press release spin without even the decency to try and pretend to give us his OWN analysis. Pure Washington DC Political Media Complex babble. Novak, along with George Wills, was one of the cheerleaders for KILLING SS reform as "too political risky" What an utter scumbag.

Time for Red State America to give these elitest DC butt clowns the finger AGAIN.

Novak is more optimistic than I am. I see us keeping the Senate losing 3 seats but losing the House by 25 seats.

I hope I am proven wrong.

Novak was the only one in 02 (as far as i know) that was correct that the Rs would win the Senate and keep the house
i hope to God that we keep the House and the Senate (obviously) if for no other reason than to see the Democrats implode afterwards

Barbara Boxer was on CNN tonight already saying that after their big win tomorrow, the Republicans would have to work with the Dems so that they can get their agenda through in a bipartisan way. Same old s... When they are in the minority, they are the worst obstructionists in the world. When they are in the majority, the Republicans are supposed to do what the majority wants because they have a mandate. And sadly, too many Republicans are like the pathetic Lindsay Graham, who was on with Boxer and said he thought that the voters would want them to work together. It makes you want to puke.

Don't vanish Nov 8th. I have added you to my list of Grim Freepers. I will be pinging you to come by and explain this one.

ONE time why don't you Grim Freepers all stick around the day AFTER the elections to try and explain why your absurd doom and gloom pronouncements turned out to be so much nonsense.. Not a chance at all of the Dems picking up 25 seats. NO chance.

The general MSM template on Tuesday night will be as follows;

All Republican wins; "Expected. Not a surprise. A hold."

All Democrat wins; "Signals a shift! A big movement! The beginning of the end for the GOP!"

There will be MASSIVE spin as early as possible while the MSM attempts to portray a Democrat landslide in order to affect races in the Central, Mountain, and Pacific timezones.

Democrats are set to gain 19 House seats, two Senate seats, and five governorships in tomorrow's elections.

I look forward to hearing what they say when this doesn't happen.
