The Shrew's mother, Bonnie, passed away quietly Wednesday morning, November 1. All of her children and most of her grandchildren were able to be at her side or speak to her before she died.
Her family had recently learned that a cancer thought to have been conquered had returned.
To those of us who know him, The Shrew is a tireless worker on behalf of conservatism. He prefers to quietly get things done, without a lot of recognition. Let us remember The Shrew and his family as they struggle with the loss of their beloved mother.
May our Blessed Savior comfort you and your family in His Arms in your time of sorrow.
A poem that helped me so much - I hope it it will bring comfort to you Shrew.
I AM STANDING ON THE SEASHORE
I am standing on the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails
to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.
I stand watching her until she fades on
the horizon, and someone at my side says......
"She is gone."
Gone! Gone where?
The loss of sight is in me, not in her.
Just at the moment someone says "She is gone",
There are others who are watching her coming.
Other voices take up the glad shout...
"Here she comes!"
I join in prayer for The Shrew and all the loved ones as they deal with their mother's homegoing.
Joining in prayer for your comfort and blessings.
Prayers to Our Lord and Saviour for family and friends, in the loss of a loved one.
Prayers for the family at the time of thier loss. May God grant them His peace!

The Lord be with him and his family
I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you who took the time to remember my Mom and my family in your prayers and in taking the time to write on this thread. I am very touched by the tenderness expressed. Thank you!
My wife's grandmother passed away on Monday, October 30th. My mother had her stroke early on the 31st. She passed away to the arms of her loving Savior on the morning of November 1.
Your prayers and kind thoughts were especially meaningful during this very difficult time for me and my family. I will never forget your kindess.
Please forgive my late response to those on this thread.
