I think a lot of Republicans...and maybe a few "other Americans" may really regret someday...not realizing what they had in a POTUS, when President Bush is out of office.
It will be too bad, because unless some people (especially the RINOs) come to their senses....they will make his last 2 years harder than the first 6....and it will be a darned shame.
And yet, unlike Clinton....I am quite sure that Pres. Bush will take his retirement gracefully, and mostly privately.
I just can't imagine him sticking his nose into the affairs of the next POTUS, regardless of party....and especially overseas in the midst of our enemies.
He is a classy, classy man....and hasn't deserved the derision and hate speech that is spewed almost daily, and I am talking about by the POLITICIANS that he has to work with!

On January 20, 2009, former President George Walker Bush will take his lovely Laura by the hand, and they will blissfully retire to their home in their beloved Crawford, Texas.
It may be years before the world recognizes that this is a great man who stood steadfast and unwavering to protect civilization from the Islamofascist threat, but it will happen, just as President Reagan's greatness was not acknowledged until after he had returned to private life.
