Now Bill Clinton is joking about War on Terror. John Kerry is not the only Democrat joking about the war on terror these days. News director Jon Gibson, KKNT-AM in Phoenix, played the audio tape of Bill Clinton speaking these words on the campus of Arizona State University last night:
Republicans will have you believe that Democrats will tax you into the poor house and that youll meet a terrorist around every corner and trip over an illegal immigrant on the way there.
Clinton, unlike Kerry, did not botch the joke because the assembled crowd roared with laughter. Terrorism warnings are something to laugh about for this crowd. But they are serious about the war on terror and want the American people to trust them to fight it effectively.
Why one would want the likes of Clinton and Kerry to return to power in Washington is baffling in these, the most dangerous and consequential times for civilized societies in the face of Islamic terror aimed at establishing a global caliphate. J. James Estrada 11 4 06
I caught wind of it last week and have posted the link to the video dozens of times trying to draw some attention to it.
"Bill Clinton is one sick joke!!
He is the worst THING that ever happened to us!!"
Not true. That honor goes to Jimmy Carter, hands down.
Kill Obama! Oh no! /sarcasm off
Well, I'm sorry I didn't see your links before because I would have helped spread the word far and wide.
It's been clear for some time now that the Democrats (none of them) take the WOT seriously. They have tried to undermine every single bit of legislation proposed to keep this country safe and I'll never, ever trust a single one of them.
I will not vote for a democrat, even a Zell Miller type, until they get rid of these people who are doing such harm to the country.
Bill knows terrorism.....after all, he DID marry Her Thighness!
There really is a dispute about how much danger we are in from terrorists. People throw out statistics like you're more likely to be struck by lightning than to be a victim of terrorist attack, and I think this is what's Clinton's joke was based on. Islamic terrorists, taken all together, are not a very powerful bunch, and the idea that they could bring our society and economy to a halt does seem far fetched (although there are easily imagined plausible ways they might do just that). But I think the "there's nothing really to worry about" crowd and those who see a clear and present danger are talking past each other. Both are right in their own way, but they are comparing apples and oranges. On the one hand, right now the terrorists are weak, but on the other hand, they are getting stronger. But the real difference in outlook can be measured by reflecting that, in World War II, very few American people were killed by the Japanese (until we began to pursue them, and then many, many thousands of Americans died). If, after Pearl Harbor, we had looked at the odds of further Japanese killing of Americans, it probably wasn't that large. The danger faced by an average American was probably as low as being struck by lighning. If we had ceded them dominance of the Pacific, they probably would have left us alone, at least until they had digested East Asia. But we didn't analyze things in terms of what made for our immediate safety. Instead we refused to submit to mistreatment and, even though we paid a terrible price, we wound up better off. Those who today incessantly worry about whether what we have done has made us safer are too focussed on short term dangers and costs and too neglectful of the longer term dangers we face.
If Clinton thought Iraq was a "moderate muslim democracy" then did he launch Operation Desert Fox and make the following statement in Feb. of '98?:
"We have to defend our future from these predators of the 21st Century.... They will be all the more lethal if we allow them to build arsenals of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them. We simply cannot allow that to happen. There is no more clear example of this threat than Saddam Hussein."
Does Billy Bob think that Americans can't remember the events of a mere 8 years ago?
Democracy?
Yeah I guess when the two choices you can check on a ballot read:
-Saddam Hussein (evil dictator)
-Have your family killed and then die a tortorous death
Yeah. That's a democracy - the kind Bill Clinton dreams of for the U.S.
Yep, Bubba, that pretty much sums it up.
Indded, why did he sign the Iraqi Liberation Act of 1998?
How many thousand sof Iraqis held up their blue fingers after voting and said it was their first time?
How could this be? Saddam said there was 99% voter turn-out for him.
Islamic terrorists, taken all together, are not a very powerful bunch, and the idea that they could bring our society and economy to a halt does seem far fetched
Just what they want us to believe...
Rush hit just the right tone on this, just a few minutes ago.
And, I'm paraphrasing:
Of course Clinton can make jokes about terrorists, he has never taken Islamic terrorism seriously; not when he was President and not now.
And, in my view, just add his personal reason for making lite of the terrorists: his most frequent fund raising activity is making million $$$ speaches at Middle East venues, and north American confabs on Middle East themes, in which Clinton's payment comes out of a multi-million $$$ fund provided to a California political lobbyist - fund that the lobbyist got specifically from Middle East governments and individuals.
You can bet Bill and his Middle East paymasters are using the process to launder their money into Bill's personal accounts, so that he can pay it as his personal contributions to Hillary's 2008 election campaign, and avoid the legal problem of foreign campaign contributions.
And, what do you imagine - with respect to Middle East policies - they are expecting to get from Bill and Hillary?
And you thought only Kerry and Teddy were treasonous!!!
He he. Sorry. They are both moslems so you can mix them up.
I feel bad that I posted that pic of Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. with some white chicks. Because, as we all know, that's racist because if you post a pic of a guy with dark skin with some white chicks it gets all the racists white folks upset. Because none of them listened to Gregory Peck in To Kill a Mockingbird. /spitting sarcsm off
No outrage over Clinton's joke, but when Bush pretended to look for WMD at that WH press banquet or whatever, the MSM went nuts.
Looks to me like Clinton told the truth for once.
Given the chance Democrats WILL tax us to death.
Put into power, the feckless perfidy of the liberals WILL embolden the terrorists and increase both their numbers and their proximity.
Seeing how democrats are courting the illegal vote as well as trying to get the vote back for felons to relieve pressure off the poor dead people who are called on year after year ny the RATS, an illegal around every corner isn't hard to image with a RAT administration or congressional control.
